For years, Finn Balor was in the Judgment Day with Dominik Mysterio. They had lots of fun together, winning multiple championships while Balor made Mysterio a major star.\u00a0 They had a great friendship. That\u2019s why when tension arose, those two ended up arguing the most. Things came to a head when Mysterio lost his WWE Intercontinental Championship to Penta on the March 2, 2026 episode of Monday Night Raw, which led to Balor getting kicked out the following week. <\/span><\/p>\n

He challenged Mysterio to a WrestleMania: Vegas match on the March\u00a030 Raw, and it was accepted with a beatdown<\/a> the following week. Afterward, he cut a promo teasing the return of the Demon, one of his most popular characters. However, given the last two times fans have seen Demon Balor, is it a good idea for him to play that character at WrestleMania?<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Demon Balor is Appropriate for His Feud with Mysterio<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

Before he joined\u00a0the Judgment\u00a0Day, many people severely doubted Mysterio\u2019s in-ring ability and overall talent. They saw him as just Rey Mysterio\u2019s kid and nothing more. But since he joined\u00a0the Judgment\u00a0Day,\u00a0he\u2019s\u00a0made a complete transformation<\/a>. Along with Balor, Liv Morgan and Rhea Ripley have helped him shape his character.\u00a0He\u2019s\u00a0won many championships, including the AAA Mega Championship, which\u00a0he\u2019s\u00a0currently holding.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

That\u2019s why Balor thinks bringing out the Demon is necessary. He said himself that he created the current version of himself. Teaching him to cheat to win is something he definitely regrets. A normal Balor feud wouldn\u2019t do much because of the amount of hatred he\u2019s feeling. In addition, his storyline with CM Punk made him realize that he was wasting his time with the Judgment Day. Bringing out Demon Balor will teach Mysterio a valuable lesson in respect.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

His Last\u00a0Appearances Have Been Embarrassing\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n

If Demon Balor were on a winning streak, fans would be extremely excited for this upcoming match. However, the last two times fans saw the character, the end result has been disastrous. Demon Balor was brought back for his feud with Edge at WrestleMania 39. They fought in a Hell in a Cell match, but Edge picked up the victory via pinfall. <\/span><\/p>\n

The time before that was the infamous Extreme Rules match for the Undisputed WWE Championship in September 2021. Balor was set for the Coup de Grace, but a mysterious rope break that is still referenced today led to another Roman Reigns retention. The last two times he\u2019s wrestled as the Demon, the result has been controversial and made him look foolish. Unless WWE plans to right those wrongs with a Balor win, bringing back<\/a> the Demon will do more harm than good.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Will Becoming the Demon Help Balor in Any Way?\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Given the context of this feud, it makes sense that Balor would bring back the Demon character. The man he\u2019s mentored for several years has been cheating and overall disrespecting him and the business, or at least that\u2019s what he thinks. Teaching him a lesson as regular Balor wouldn\u2019t do any good. Fighting him as the Demon will scare him and hopefully let him know his wrongdoings.<\/span><\/p>\n

But the last two times\u00a0we\u2019ve\u00a0seen Demon\u00a0Balor,\u00a0the results have been highly contested by fans as he has lost.\u00a0Losing as\u00a0the Demon\u00a0three times in a row will definitely paint\u00a0the character\u00a0in a negative light. If he comes out all scary, but\u00a0doesn\u2019t\u00a0get the pinfall in the end, the transformation is completely worthless.
