To put it quite simply, Ronda Rousey is officially #AllElite this past Sunday on the AEW Revolution 2026 pay-per-view. The Rowdy One came out after Marina Shafir’s extremely physical match-up and loss against Timeless Toni Storm, trying to goad Storm into a fight, but eventually exiting the arena with her old running mate, Shafir.<\/p>\n

It was a huge shock, considering we haven’t seen Ronda Rousey in a mainstream wrestling ring in almost three years after leaving WWE in 2023 due to Ronda not being happy with the promotion. Despite making disparaging comments about the entirety of the wrestling industry, it seemed like Rousey still had the bug.<\/p>\n

Ronda performed on the Indie scene for promotions like Lucha VaVoom, where she teamed with Shafir to take on Taya Valkyrie and her mentor Brian Kendrick, as well as REVOLVER, where she again teamed with Marina to take on Billie Starkz and Athena.<\/p>\n

That no-contest led to Rousey making her Ring of Honor (ROH) debut the following night, where she and Shafir defeated Starkz and Athena. That Ring of Honor appearance was Rousey’s last high-profile appearance inside the squared circle, even stating in September 2025 that she was once again officially retired from professional wrestling.<\/p>\n

Ronda Rousey’s name soon picked up steam again very recently, but not for wrestling. Ronda Rousey is getting back in the MMA game as she will face Gina Carano in May 2026 for Most Valuable Promotions, which is run by popular social media star Jake Paul, marking Rousey’s octagon return for the first time in ten years.<\/p>\n

For most, this confrontation had a lot of buzz around it, and that’s why Rousey’s return to wrestling and becoming an AEW star makes her debut at AEW Revolution 2026 all the more shocking. Love her or hate her, Ronda Rousey is one of the most popular women in all of sports, sports entertainment, and even professional wrestling.<\/p>\n
