MJF and Hangman Adam Page will discuss the matters of their upcoming World Championship Match at AEW Revolution. This is sure to be a heated affair. Kyle Fletcher puts his TNT Championship on the line against JetSpeed’s Speedball Mike Bailey. Similarly, fresh off her victory over Mercedes Mone, new CMLL World Women’s Champion Persephone challenges TBS champ Willow Nightingale! David Finlay and Gabe Kidd vie against Darby Allin and Orange Cassidy. Also, Mark Briscoe joins the Young Bucks against FTR and new ally Tommaso Ciampa!

Where is AEW Dynamite Tonight?

AEW Dynamite airs live tonight, from the San Jose Civic in San Jose, CA.

What Time is AEW Dynamite Tonight?

HBO Max and the TBS Network air AEW Dynamite live tonight at 8 PM ET.

AEW Dynamite Quick Results

Death Riders defeated Don Callis Family

TNT Championship: Kyle Fletcher (c) defeated Speedball Mike Bailey

Brody King squashed an enhancement talent

The Dogs defeated Orange Cassidy & Darby Allin

TBS Championship: Willow Nightingale (c) defeated Persephone

FTR & Tommaso Ciampa defeated Young Bucks & Mark Briscoe

MJF & Hangman Page’s Press Conference resulted in a brawl

AEW Dynamite Tonight (3/11/26)

Death Riders (Jon Moxley & Claudio Castagnoli) defeated Don Callis Family (Konosuke Takeshita & Hechicero)

Castagnoli dove into Hechicero’s technical stylings, thwarting the rudo luchador’s prowess with a side-headlock takedown. Hechicero slithered in a Grapevine to subvert the Swiss man’s strategy. A black-eyed Takeshita approached Moxley, both men legal, where each Death Rider kept him isolated. Hechicero dropped Castagnoli with a headscissors takedown and vaulted him over the top rope with his feet. Takeshita made things equally as rough on Moxley, countering a sleeper hold into a Blue Thunderbomb.

Castagnoli and Moxley coordinated a European Uppercut and King Kong lariat to topple Takeshita. Hechicero suffered a Castagnoli interference to prevent the rescue of Takeshita from the clutches of Moxley’s crossface. In less than ten seconds, Hechicero picked at Castagnoli’s neck, shoulders, arm, and back; he employed a particularly nice Spinebuster. Trapping Castagnoli’s shoulders in a crucifix leghold, Hechicero ragdolled him in circles to dizzy the colossus. Catagnoli responded with a brief Giant Swing. Poking Hechicero’s eye, Castagnoli finished him off with a European Uppercut and Inside Cradle.

Post-match: Lance Archer and Mark Davis joined their comrades, with the former laying out Marina Shafir. Davis and Archer subdued Moxley, demanding that the NJPW World Television Champion swing a steel chair at his head. He opted out, causing Don Callis to eject himself from the premises. Offended by Takeshita’s refusal, Hechicero stormed away, bickering with him up the ramp.

(This match was a thrill ride of a trios bout. I loved that this not only furthered Moxley and Takeshita’s AEW feud while showcasing the latter’s NJPW belt, but also gave fuel to a CMLL rivalry between Castagnoli and Hechicero. That said, I feel this Death Rider and Don Callis Family angle has gone on for probably too long.)

Willow Nightingale & Persephone discussed their upcoming match

Nightingale wished Persephone luck ahead of their TBS Championship match. Persephone replied that since she defeated Mercedes Mone just like Nightingale, it shouldn’t be much of a problem.

MJF’s attempted appeal to Kyle Fletcher about Speedball Mike Bailey

Miffed about Bailey’s kick to his face the week prior, MJF asked Fletcher to hurt him extra hard as retribution. Fletcher, detesting MJF, said he’d hurt Bailey for himself, not for MJF. The AEW Men’s World Champion implored a nearby Don Callis to teach his men “how to speak to the World Champion.”

Kyle Fletcher (c) defeated Speedball Mike Bailey for the TNT Championship

Champion and challenger surprised each other with every agile response, resulting in Bailey engaging in an armbar. Outside, he continued targeting Fletcher’s arm. Tired of Bailey’s kicks, Fletcher tossed him in a powerslam. Having been cornered for a few minutes, Bailey fought his way out with a flurry of kicks and a hurricanrana. The pair traded kicks, with Bailey’s more powerful legs dropping his towering foe. Another hurricanrana thudded Fletcher, this time on the hard ring apron.

Fletcher regained control with Kawada Kicks but suffered a Moonsault. A Corkscrew Moonsault from the top rope further worsened Fletcher’s state. Fletcher swung a comeback as he torpedoed Bailey headfirst into the top turnbuckle. Dropping himself on Fletcher multiple times, Bailey returned to the Protostar’s arm, hooking in a Triangle Choke in the process. Fletcher turned this into a miraculous powerbomb to save his arm. Maintaining arm control, Bailey rocked Fletcher with a poisonrana and a kick to nearly become champion. Fletcher countered Bailey’s spinning wheel kicks for a powerbomb. The crowd and commentary all roared as Bailey’s kicks continued to soften Fletcher. Kazucika Okada distracted the referee while Mark Davis lent Fletcher the TNT belt to blast Bailey. Fletcher finished off Bailey with a Brainbuster to retain the gold.

(Telling the story of Bailey having Fletcher’s number multiple times did wonders for him in this competition. Considering Kevin Knight’s on quite the climb up the card himself, that’s good news for our favorite non-binary former AEW World Trios Champion.)

Brody King defeated an enhancement talent

King had a pre-match segment declaring he wasn’t prepared for this match and was still irate with Swerve Strickland.

King quickly destroyed the talent with a Gonzo Bomb in seconds flat.

Post-match: King blew off steam walking outside, when a masked man in a hoodie choked him in a metal chain. The figure was none other than Swerve Strickland. In the ring, Strickland strangled him further with the chain, which King later broke with force. He wrapped the chain around his forearm for a lariat. Prince Nana wailed on King, who could not feel it. This lent Strickland enough time to escape via Armbreaker.

(Compelling post-match. Let Swerve be the ultimate heel now.)

Speedball Mike Bailey vowed vengeance on the Don Callis Family

Upset at the loss when he had Kyle Fletcher’s number, Bailey remarked that he, Kevin Knight, and Mistico would get their revenge.

The Dogs (David Finlay & Gabe Kidd) defeated Orange Cassidy & Darby Allin

Cassidy and Allin bore much of their opponents’ offense, but they both returned fire with dropkicks. Allin torpedoed himself through the ropes to bounce off a prepared Finlay. Kidd obscured Cassidy as he gouged his eye. Finlay and Kidd exercised irrefuted dominance over Cassidy, who swung a DDT to disorient Finlay. Allin pressed The Dogs into separate corners, using Kidd’s momentum to crush Finlay. Finlay absorbed a torrent of offense from Allin so that Kidd could lay him flat with a lariat. Like heat-seeking missiles, Cassidy and Allin penetrated Finlay and Kidd, respectively. Speaking of missiles, Allin propped Kidd on a chair and sent him flying with a Missile Dropkick. Recuperating against the barricade, an unwitting Cassidy was rendered useless, courtesy of Clark Connors knocking him out with a tire iron. Finlay’s Dominator and Kidd’s Big Piledriver left Allin staring up at the lights.

Post-match: Finlay and Kidd rolled Allin outside while Connors dragged Cassidy into the ring. Finlay beckoned for someone to come out, and that person turned out to be Roderick Strong. The Dogs propped up Cassidy, so Strong could destroy his back. He looked prepared to do so, only to send Cassidy into Finlay and obliterate all three of The Dogs.

(The clash of styles with Cassidy against Allin and The Dogs is hilarious, but every beat worked wonders. Giving The Dogs a win while furthering the Conglomeration subplot was the cherry on top.)

Willow Nightingale (c) defeated Persphone for the TBS Championship

Both women danced in and out of their preliminary grappling attempts, followed by trading Flying Headscissors. Persephone soon gained control, which Nightingale snatched away with a Fisherman’s Suplex. The CMLL World Women’s Champion hauled Nightingale over her shoulders and flung her backwards. Persephone battled back against a Nightingale comeback with a kick, only to lay disastrously following a Spinebuster.

Denying Nightingale’s Moonsault, Persephone sprang off the middle rope in a Moonsault of her own. She ricocheted Nightingale into the turnbuckle with a Shotgun Dropkick. Nightingale flailed her way out of Persephone’s deadly Crucifix Powerbomb and slid in a backsliding pinfall.

(More Persephone in AEW, please. What a powerhouse of a match.)

Willow Nightingale addressed her future opponent

Backstage, Nightingale and Harley Cameron cheered for the former’s earlier win. Nightingale then shifted her attention to Lena Kross for their upcoming TBS title bout at AEW Revolution: Zero Hour.

FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) & Tommaso Ciampa defeated The Young Bucks (Nick and Matt Jackson) & Mark Briscoe

Everyone brawled as soon as the bell rang in a mad dash of chaos. Matt saved Nick from FTR, and they left them flat in a double-cutter. They convened with Briscoe to superkick Ciampa horizontally. Matt catapulted Harwood into Wheeler, now vulnerable to Briscoe’s surprise cutter. Ciampa and Briscoe collided in a simultaneous Flying Crossbody. Nick coordinated with Briscoe for a Redneck Boogie to Harwood, set up perfectly for a triple-superkick, had Wheeler and Ciampa not pulled two of them out.

Matt ducked in the nick of time to avoid Wheeler and Ciampa, leading the former to accidentally superkick the latter. The Bucks hit sentons on Ciampa, giving Briscoe enough air for a Froggy Bow. FTR annihilated Briscoe via Shatter Machine. Outside, Matt threw Harwood into Wheeler on the barricade and across the commentary desk. FTR crushed Matt with a stolen BTE Driver. Ciampa escaped a Jay Driller to knee Briscoe in the face for the pinfall.

Post-match: Ciampa didn’t stop at the victory in clobbering Briscoe. Over the shoulder, he plummeted the Sussex County Chicken’s corpse through a couple of steel chairs.

(One of those ROH tribute matches AEW puts out so well, with added NXT nostalgia. California was so hot for it!)

Hangman Adam Page & MJF Press Conference (featuring Bryan Danielson)

A member of the press asked if Page was going into the match for the belt or for revenge; Page responded that it was both, so he could take what MJF holds dearest. KOW Radio’s representative asked both men what this bout could mean for new viewers. MJF responded that it would end with him retaining the belt, while Page replied that it would result in MJF being bloodied and defeated. Cumulus Media asked MJF how he felt about Page, to which his retort was more confidence in his potential victory. The Ringer’s representative asked what Page looked forward to going into the match. The cowboy answered that he would bring every lesson he learned in Texas Deathmatches. Denise Salcedo asked Page about his previous victories over MJF and if this was the convergence of his stories in AEW. He implied this would be the culmination of every previous win over MJF in AEW.

MJF sought to end the conference with a cheer to him, “never becoming AEW World Champion again.” Page smacked the cup of beer from his hand, and the two brawled into the San Jose Civic crowd while Danielson gave chase. They scuffled en route to the ring, where security pried them apart momentarily. Page punched all of them flat, while MJF adorned his Dynamite Diamond Ring. Page caught him, destroying him with a Deadeye. Carrying out a barbed-wire-laced board of wood, Page’s attempt to Deadeye him onto it failed as MJF wiggled away and sprinted as far as he could.

(AEW is going to need to condition their crowds better for this type of segment. If they want press conferences to get over, maybe a better placement on the card is needed. The brawl saved it, but the San Jose crowd loudly booed the press conference, with many chants of “boring!”)

Final Thoughts

A strong go-home show. Every match was pay-per-view worthy and set the stage for AEW Revolution. However, the Press Conference angle was a little polarizing. Fans probably hoped for it to be closer to the ring, not solely in front of media members. Thankfully, as I said during that segment, they won them over with a brawl to end things on a hype note, but still, these need to be managed better. Maybe even built up until they can end a go-home show with such an affair.

AEW Dynamite results and live updates from the San Jose Civic in San Jose, California, tonight will be available throughout the show.
