On Monday Night Raw, Liv Morgan had a choice to make. Would she choose to face Jade Cargill, moving herself to SmackDown and away from the Judgment Day in the process, or would she target Stephanie Vaquer’s title instead? A title, mind you, that was being defended and very well could be in the hands of Raquel Rodriguez before night’s end.

Liv Morgan, Roxanne Perez Cost Raquel Rodriguez

When Liv Morgan was asked about why she tossed Raquel Rodriguez over-the-top rope before the final two at the Royal Rumble, Morgan stood by her decision. Rodriguez had just eliminated Rhea Ripley and was in the perfect position for Morgan. As the first-time winner noted, she’s an opportunist, and that moment presented the perfect opportunity. Morgan rationalized her decision, noting Rodriguez has a championship opportunity, and now she does too. And she knew her friend wasn’t selfish and was”down to share the wealth.”

Morgan defended her actions by once again bringing Judgment Day into it, much like she did with Finn Balor on Raw’s go-home Rumble show. As Morgan saw it, this was a good thing for the group, and they were all for “sharing the wealth in Judgment Day, because we are a family and that’s what the Judgment Day does.” Naturally, Morgan has resumed her de facto leadership of the faction, having now manipulated Dominik Mysterio, Finn Balor, and perhaps her best friend, Raquel Rodriguez.

On Monday night, Morgan came out to celebrate her Rumble victory before introducing Rodriguez, whom she called the soon-to-be new champ. Rodriguez wanted to address why Morgan tossed her in the Rumble but Morgan repeated her line about Rodriguez not being selfish. A win for one of them was a win for all of them, that’s how Judgment Day works. Rodriguez agreed but she told Morgan to stay in the back because her win would be that much sweeter if she did it by herself. Morgan agreed to stay back but her actions told a different story.

In the midst of the carnage of the street fight, with chairs, tables, and trash cans strewn throughout the ring, Morgan made a run-in to hand Rodriguez the title belt to use it against Vaquer. Rodriguez briefly hesitated but when she turned around, Vaquer tossed her into the trash can before getting her onto the table Rodriguez set up shortly before. That’s when Roxanne Perez attempted an assist but was also thwarted as Vaquer pushed her off the ringpost and into a table that was set up ringside. Rodriguez tried to power Vaquer down and almost did, but Vaquer countered to send Rodriguez through the table before following it up with a splash off the top to retain her championship.

After the match, Morgan hit the Oblivion on Vaquer and held the title high in the air while shrugging. Morgan noted she was going to go to SmackDown and weigh her options, so it seems like she hasn’t yet chosen to face Vaquer. If she does, however, it seems like it could set up some big issues with the Judgment Day.

More From LWOS Pro Wrestling

Header photo – WWE – Stay tuned to the Last Word on Pro Wrestling for more on Stephanie Vaquer, Raquel Rodriguez, Liv Morgan, WrestleMania 42, and other stories from around the world of wrestling, as they develop.
