Reportedly set to be unveiled following <em><strong>WrestleMania 34<\/strong><\/em> in New Orleans, after the crowning of a new WWE Cruiserweight Champion, the belts would open up more storyline potential for <em><strong>205 Live<\/strong><\/em><em>, <\/em>which has seen a renewed interest in the Cruiserweight Division <a href=\"http:\/\/lastwordonprowrestling.com\/2018\/02\/07\/205-live-theres-new-sheriff-town-beyond-new-gm\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">since <strong>Triple H<\/strong> assumed control of the show<\/a>, the likes which hasn&#8217;t been seen since they debuted with 2016&#8217;s <strong>WWE Cruiserweight Classic<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>With that in mind, here&#8217;s a look at 10 potential tag teams that WWE could potentially send into the hunt for the new WWE Cruiserweight Tag Team titles, once they are unveiled to the general public, assumedly also in a tournament similar to what <em>205 Live <\/em>is currently in the midst of for the vacant Cruiserweight title.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>LUCHA HOUSE PARTY (Kalisto, Gran Metalik &amp; Lince Dorado)<\/strong><\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_15150\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-15150\" style=\"width: 640px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-15150\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2018\/03\/010_205_01232018ej_0253-74697d7a4f2962082f46d7d177af421f-1-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-15150\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: WWE<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>With only <strong>Kalisto<\/strong> still in the hunt for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship, the other two members of <strong>Lucha House Party<\/strong> will be looking for gold of their own to bring to the party. It would be an interesting dynamic should Lucha House Party claim all the gold of the Cruiserweight Division, with a team of <strong>Lince Dorado<\/strong> and <strong>Gran Metalik<\/strong> winning the inaugural WWE Cruiserweight Tag Team titles. The trio could even defend under Freebird Rules, as seen in recent WWE history with <strong>New Day<\/strong> or the <strong>Wyatt Family<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>DREW GULAK &amp; TONY NESE<\/strong><\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_15165\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-15165\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-15165\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2018\/03\/a31e793e4dee9a675768f122f917fc50-a-fan-curtis-axel-e1520358238884.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-15165\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: WWE<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>These two have a strong history as tag team partners, starting off on 205 Live together, then working together as part of<strong> The Zo Train<\/strong> under <strong>Enzo Amore<\/strong>. <strong>Drew Gulak<\/strong> is still in the tournament for the Cruiserweight title (defeating <strong>Tony Nese<\/strong> in a crushing and physical match up), but if Gulak should fall short in acquiring singles gold, he could always call up his old partner and make a run for the tag team titles.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>BRIAN KENDRICK &amp; JACK GALLAGHER<\/strong><\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_15168\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-15168\" style=\"width: 640px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-15168\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2018\/03\/059_TLC_10222017ca_0750-fd6dd9631af269718a7831c358840636-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-15168\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: WWE<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>Brian Kendrick<\/strong> was the instrument in <strong>Gentleman Jack Gallagher<\/strong> turning heel late last year and together the two formed a duo bent on the destruction of the <em>205 Live<\/em> roster. Unfortunately the storyline ended in late December, when a GTS from<strong> Hideo Itami<\/strong> fractured Kendrick&#8217;s orbital bone, putting him on the shelf. When<strong> Austin Aries<\/strong> suffered a similar injury back in 2016, he was on the injured list approximately five months, which could mean we could see Kendrick back in the ring around May, which would be around the time the new tag team belts would be introduced.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>MUSTAFA ALI &amp; CEDRIC ALEXANDER<\/strong><\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_15171\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-15171\" style=\"width: 640px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-15171\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2018\/03\/073_RAW_02052018ej_0804-b1a36580f178b35841dfa251e4884e05-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-15171\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: WWE<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>When <strong>Cedric Alexander<\/strong>&#8216;s regular tag partner <strong>Rich Swann<\/strong> was suspended (and ultimately released), he joined forces briefly with <strong>Mustafa Ali<\/strong> and picked up a series of big wins. Both men have advanced to the second round of the Cruiserweight title tournament, with Alexander slated to face<strong> TJP<\/strong> and Ali against <strong>Buddy Murphy<\/strong>, but if neither one emerges from <em>WrestleMania 34<\/em> as the new WWE Cruiserweight Champion, they could always reunite and turn their sights on the newly minted tag team belts.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>MOUSTACHE MOUNTAIN (Tyler Bate &amp; Trent Seven)<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-15169\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2018\/03\/C2ZkYB4W8AQq952-1024x864.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"495\" height=\"418\"><\/p>\n<p>With the members of the UK stable <strong>British Strong Style<\/strong> (WWE UK Champion<strong> Pete Dunne<\/strong>, <strong>Trent Seven<\/strong> and <strong>Tyler Bate<\/strong>) making increasingly more frequent appearances on WWE television, adding the duo of Seven and Bate, collectively known as <strong>Moustache Mountain<\/strong>, to the tag team division on <em>205 Live<\/em> would be a real treat. While Bate makes the weight class easily at 175 lbs., his partner Trent Seven would need to trim down from his current 215 lbs &#8211; but as we&#8217;ve seen in the past with the likes of Cedric Alexander and Buddy Murphy, the transition has been done before.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>TM61 (Shane Thorne &amp; Nick Miller)<\/strong><\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_15170\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-15170\" style=\"width: 640px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-15170\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2018\/03\/011_NXT_01272018dg_0765-0778fcd0df2883ef4fbf0856a60461e7-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-15170\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: WWE<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Should Australia&#8217;s <strong>TM61<\/strong> tandem of <strong>Shane Thorne<\/strong> and <strong>Nick Miller<\/strong> not capture the NXT Tag Team titles as a result of the ongoing <strong>Dusty Rhodes Classic Tournament<\/strong> in NXT, their next option could be to enter the scene at 205 Live and chase the Cruiserweight Tag Team titles. Again, while both men hover around the 220 lbs. mark, they&#8217;d need to trim down a bit, but they both have experience in this sort of division. As <strong>The Mighty Don&#8217;t Kneel<\/strong>, they&#8217;re 2x GHC Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champions from <strong>Pro Wrestling NOAH<\/strong>, and competing against more like minded tandems could really give TM61 a chance to shine more.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>BREEZANGO (Tyler Breeze &amp; Fandango)<\/strong><\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_15172\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-15172\" style=\"width: 640px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-15172\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2018\/03\/131_SD_01302018rf_1515-636c1181b5156104237f13da6e4bc464-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-15172\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: WWE<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Considering they&#8217;ve been relegated to comedic vignettes on <em>Smackdown Live<\/em>, a change of scenery and opponents could be just what the underrated duo of <strong>Tyler Breeze<\/strong> and <strong>Fandango<\/strong> need to reach the next level in WWE. Breeze was one of NXT&#8217;s workhorses, competing with the likes of <strong>Finn Balor<\/strong>, Hideo Itami, <strong>Neville<\/strong> and even 11x IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion <strong>Jushin &#8216;Thunder&#8217; Liger<\/strong> and at 210 lbs., it wouldn&#8217;t be hard to drop down to 205. Fandango is a little larger built, but as mentioned before, Cedric Alexander and Buddy Murphy were both roughly Fandango&#8217;s size and managed to make the weight.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>EPICO &amp; PRIMO<\/strong><\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_15173\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-15173\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-15173\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2018\/03\/Epico_bio-5a71499748950d2770d6fc708b6a1ee0-e1520359561393.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"337\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-15173\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: WWE<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Veteran tag team <strong>Epico<\/strong> and <strong>Primo<\/strong> have languished in the WWE tag team division for years now, after winning WWE Tag Team gold in 2012. Getting a chance to really show off their abilities in the<em> 205 Live<\/em> Tag Team division could be just the kind of shot in the arm they&#8217;d need to prove their more just Matadors or time share condo agents.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>UNDISPUTED ERA (Bobby Fish &amp; Kyle O&#8217;Reilly)<\/strong><\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_15177\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-15177\" style=\"width: 640px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-15177\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2018\/03\/Bobby_Fish_and_Kyle_OReilly_retaining_the_NXT_Tag_Team_Champion-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-15177\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: WWE<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>If WWE really wanted to show the dominance of <strong>Undisputed Era<\/strong> in the WWE Universe, they could have the current NXT Tag Team Champions <strong>Kyle O&#8217;Reilly<\/strong> and <strong>Bobby Fish<\/strong> challenge for the Cruiserweight Tag Team titles <em>while <\/em>they still hold NXT gold. It&#8217;s not like the duo formerly known as <strong>reDRagon<\/strong> aren&#8217;t familiar with holding multiple titles, as they previously held the <strong>Ring of Honor<\/strong> Tag Team titles alongside the IWGP Junior Heavyweight titles at the same time.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>THE FILTHY ANIMALS (Rey Mysterio &amp; Billy Kidman)<\/strong><\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_15175\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-15175\" style=\"width: 371px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-15175\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2018\/03\/08-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"371\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2018\/03\/08-1.jpg 371w, https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2018\/03\/08-1-278x300.jpg 278w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 371px) 100vw, 371px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-15175\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: WWE<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Easily the <em>least<\/em> likely of the list, but one that would have the greatest impact on making the titles prestigious out of the gate. Former <strong>Filthy Animals<\/strong> members <strong>Rey Mysterio<\/strong> and <strong>Billy Kidman<\/strong> were the last title holders of WCW&#8217;s Cruiserweight Tag Team titles in 2001, and both are two of the most decorated Cruiserweight performers in WWE\/WCW history. Mysterio recently suffered an injury, but should he return, a brief pairing with Kidman could help draw a large portion of the WWE Universe to the division as a whole. They wouldn&#8217;t have to look far for Kidman either &#8211; the 43-year old has been a producer with the WWE since he retired from the ring in 2008.<\/p>\n<p>What teams would you like to see challenge for the WWE Cruiserweight Tag Team titles?
