After Je\u2019Von Evans won the Men\u2019s Iron Survivor Challenge at NXT Deadline, then-NXT Champion Oba Femi stared him down. Their confrontation didn\u2019t last long, as Tony D\u2019Angelo returned after months away. Slamming Evans down, he stared at Femi. It was assumed he would challenge for the NXT Championship. But that never happened. From there, he attacked Ethan Page and stared at the NXT Championship when Femi vacated it. <\/span><\/p>\n

On the NXT episode of January 13, 2026, the mystery of D\u2019Angelo deepened even further<\/a>. He slammed Dion Lennox with a chair, helped Joe Hendry win his no-disqualification match, and then attacked Hendry. Security was sent out, and they were swiftly disposed of. Then, he stared down NXT General Manager Ava as she walked out. It\u2019s clear he has some type of plan. But what is it, and will it make sense to the audience?<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

D\u2019Angelo is Being Unpredictable for a Reason<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

Right now, it seems like D\u2019Angelo\u00a0is just going around attacking everybody. The NXT North American Champion, Hendry & Lennox, and security all\u00a0aren\u2019t\u00a0safe.\u00a0That\u2019s\u00a0a\u00a0pretty\u00a0random\u00a0group of people. But\u00a0maybe that\u2019s\u00a0just what he wants everyone to\u00a0think. The expectation is that\u00a0he\u2019ll\u00a0attack anyone\u00a0at any time. When he finally zeroes in on his target,\u00a0it\u2019ll\u00a0be viewed\u00a0as unpredictable.\u00a0He\u2019s\u00a0never attacked\u00a0anyone twice or two weeks in a\u00a0row.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We\u2019re\u00a0being conditioned to him being someone without a motive.\u00a0That\u2019s\u00a0why picking out his\u00a0main\u00a0target will be a shock to everyone.\u00a0No one knows what\u00a0he\u2019ll\u00a0do next week.\u00a0He could go after Page, Hendry, Lennox, or even the eventual NXT Champion. The best surprise is something that you\u00a0can\u2019t\u00a0see coming, which is why\u00a0he\u2019s\u00a0waiting for the right time to truly strike.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
