In this article, not only will we remind you who those three names are, we will also revisit what all four men did at that year’s WrestleMania. Thus, WWF fans were excited to see what Macho Man would do at Royal Rumble 1992 after a brief (yet explosive) feud with Jake “The Snake” Roberts.

Savage tossed his rival out of the Rumble, which had to feel good. Macho Man also got rid of Colonel Mustafa aka The Iron Sheik, and made it to the Final Four when newly-crowned Intercontinental Champion Roddy Piper got eliminated by Sid Justice. However, this wasn’t meant to be Savage’s night, and he got eliminated by both Sid and Flair a few moments later.

What Did Randy Savage Do At WrestleMania 8? Long story short, Randy Savage walked out of Indianapolis, Indiana’s Hoosier Dome (the home of that year’s WrestleMania) with the World Wrestling Federation Championship. Not only did Macho Man win his second WWF Championship, he did so after beating Ric Flair in an all-time classic.

A few weeks after winning the vacant title at the Royal Rumble, The Dirtiest Player In The Game thought it’d be a good idea to get in Randy Savage’s mind, infamously claiming Miss Elizabeth “was mine before she was yours”. That was all the motivation Macho Man needed, setting the stage for one of the most intense and personal title matches in the entire history of WrestleMania.

Hulk Hogan

Fans Cheered Hulk Hogan’s Elimination At Royal Rumble 1992

Number Of Eliminations

4

Wrestlers Eliminated

The Undertaker

The Berzerker

The Warlord

Sid Justice

Time In The Match

11:29

Eliminated By

Sid Justice

Hulk Hogan’s controversial WWF Title matches against The Undertaker at Survivor Series and This Tuesday In Texas 1991 are the reason why the prestigious championship had been vacated to begin with. Thus, The Hulkster had to be considered one of the favorites to win the 1992 Royal Rumble Match. Shortly after coming out at number 26, Hogan eliminated Undertaker to get the last laugh in their rivalry (that is until they met again over a decade later).

More eliminations would follow shortly afterwards. Just when it looked like Hulk Hogan would once again regain the WWF Championship… he got tossed over the top rope by Sid Justice. The fans in attendance loved it so much that the WWF had to edit the crowd reaction. Now, they were the last two competitors in one of WWF’s biggest matches.

It didn’t take long for Sid to make an impact in the World Wrestling Federation, just like it didn’t take long for him to dominate the ’92 Royal Rumble. We’re not just talking about his rivals in the WWF, but also people like “Texas Tornado” Kerry Von Erich who’d faced Flair for the NWA Title.

While Flair managed to eliminate a few people throughout the match, this was far from a dominant showing from him.
