However, McIntyre was not in the venue and only sent legal documents to Aldis, stating that SmackDown is an “unsafe working environment.” Aldis and Rhodes would meet backstage, with the GM informing Rhodes of the papers served. Rhodes would crumple the paper and throw it out as he entered the Mohegan Arena. Rhodes spoke about Drew, saying he’s not the top guy because he’s only “half in,” and he doesn’t see him as any threat and will beat him down, any place, any time. Before Rhodes can speak more, his opponent for this Saturday, NXT Champion Oba Femi, will enter the arena. Femi would immediately lock eyes with the “American Nightmare.” Femi would make it clear Rhodes needed to focus on him, not McIntyre. Femi would make a strong statement, saying that in honor of “Hustle, Loyalty, and Respect,” Rhodes’ time is up, and his time is now. Rhodes would say that he appreciates Femi looking up to John Cena, but he was the one who beat him before the two champions raised their titles to assert dominance.

Ilja Dragunov defends the United States Title against Tommaso Ciampa. Before his match, Fraxiom would tell him they had his back. Dragunov said he intends to put Ciampa in his place to uphold the sanctity of the U.S. Championship, as well as honor the U.S. Open Challenge that John Cena started. Ciampa began like a house on fire when he finally got his hands on Dragunov. The two tried to lock up, but it quickly escalated into a brawl. These two had an extremely physical match, with the two giving it their best shot. When Dragunov mustered a comeback and had Ciampa’s number, Candice LeRae and Johnny Gargano would interfere, leading to Ciampa capitalizing on the opportunity and almost becoming United States Champion. With barely a second left, Dragunov would kick out. Ciampa would expose the knee and try to finish off Ilja, but Dragunov would counter into a pinning combination, retaining the U.S. Title. #DIY would beat down the champi, before Carmelo Hayes would come in for the save and prop up the “Mad Dragon.”

Cathy Kelley caught up with Je’Von Evans, asking him about how he feels about his match tomorrow night. Evans was extremely excited, before The Miz would enter the scene, saying that he deserved more of the spotlight, instead of a kid who wasn’t even born when John Cena started performing in WWE. Calling him “Unc,” Je’Von would lay down the challenge for a match tonight, with The Miz accepting.

The lights would go out as The Wyatt Sicks make their presence felt on SmackDown. Uncle Howdy would make a strongly-worded statement, saying Solo Sikoa is delusional when it comes to a hostile takeover of SmackDown, and he’s only using his MFT to do his bidding. Howdy would end the conversation by saying that if they want the WWE Tag Team Championship, they can come and get it. Via a live feed, Solo Sikoa would respond, saying that they will do it on his terms, and next week, MFT will be bringing the gold home.

Alexa Bliss, accompanied by her Ring Queens partner Charlotte Flair, takes on Lash Legend, who’s also accompanied by Nia Jax. Bliss fought valiantly and tried to fend off the monstrous Lash Legend. In the end, Legend was way too much even for the veteran to handle. After overpowering Bliss, the match ended in a flash when Lash hit the Lash Extension to notch the biggest of her career in short order.

Michael Cole made a massive announcement about the future of WWE SmackDown.

The Miz takes on Je’Von Evans in this clash of generations. The Miz proved to everyone why he’s one of this industry’s pillars, teaching the youngster a thing or two. The Miz even paid tribute, or maybe taunted, depending on who you asked, his old rival John Cena by delivering a Five-Knuckle Shuffle. Miz would go for an Attitude Adjustment, which Corey Graves referred to as the “A-List Adjustment,” but Evans would counter. Evan would fly over the place before hitting Miz with the OG Cutter to achieve the biggest win of his career.

We see Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley game plan for their match later in the main event. Ripley would run into WWE Women’s Champion Jade Cargill as they stared each other down as Cargill made her way to the ring to face off against Michin. Backstage, Michin was hot and ready to go, sending a message to Cargill backstage. In what was supposed to be a match turned out to be a beatdown, as Cargill attacked Michin backstage and demanded her music be played as she entered the arena, not even dressed to compete. Cargill got on that mic, telling everyone she’s “that b*tch,” and anyone who wants to step up will get stepped on. A battered Michin would run to the ring, hit her with a Kendo Stick, and try to prop up a table. Cargill would assault her once again, leaving Michin broken in the ring.

For the main event of the evening, the Terror Twins, Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest, take on Aleister Black and Zelina. This main event tag match was a thrill from beginning to end, with all hell breaking loose as all members of the team would brawl in the ring for most of the match. Ripley and Black even had a momentary stare-off that sent shockwaves down the spines of the WWE Universe. In the end, The Terror Twins would hit stereo Razor’s Edge, and Ripley would Zelina with a Riptide to end the night.

That’s all for REAL-TIME WWE SmackDown results for December 12, 2025, as it happened in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.

More From LWOS Pro Wrestling

Header photo – WWE – Stay tuned to the Last Word on Pro Wrestling for more on WWE SmackDown results and other stories from around the world of wrestling, as they develop.
