This Saturday, NXT Deadline will feature the annual Iron Survivor Challenges. The winner of the respective men’s and women’s matches will get an NXT and Women’s NXT Championship match at New Year’s Evil. One of the competitors on the men’s side is Dion Lennox. Returning to NXT as part of DarkState at Vengeance Day, he and the rest of the group have dominated the brand and are on their second run as NXT Tag Team Champions.<\/p>\n

An eight-man tag team match was made on the December 2, 2025, episode of NXT. The person who got the pinfall would choose their entry number for the Iron Survivor Challenge. Would DarkState take them down, or would they collectively beat a powerful faction?<\/p>\n

DarkState Fails to Get the Victory Ahead of Deadline<\/h2>\n

Je’Von Evans, Joe Hendry, Leon Slater, and Myles Borne are all great wrestlers. They have shown that they deserve to be in this year’s Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge match. But they’ve either only worked together for a short time or not at all. That’s not the case for DarkState.<\/p>\n

Cutler James, Lennox, Osiris Griffin, and Saquon Shugars have been a unified team for over a year. If DarkState doesn’t win, Lennox could be at a severe disadvantage. He could come in at a late number, with no chance of winning, and prevent major DarkState interference.<\/p>\n

Shutting Lennox out before he can even attack would be advantageous, with him losing. It seemed like DarkState would dominate and make this match short, but that never happened. Borne, Evans, Hendry, and Slater got in a flurry of offense on the faction. They fired back, of course, but things were pretty even for a long time.<\/p>\n

That was the case until DarkState started losing its grip on the match. When that happened, the other men began to have a communication breakdown. All of them were desperate for the pin to pick their number.<\/p>\n

While Hendry was fighting Lennox outside, Evans and Griffin were in the ring. Slater tagged Evans without any heads up, making him the legal man, but not before Griffin was kicked in the face. Slater got up to the top rope, but then Borne tagged in.<\/p>\n

A Swanton 450 was delivered to Griffin, but Slater wasn’t the legal man. Borne hit Borne Again and got the pinfall, making him the winner. Even though DarkState doesn’t get the advantage, there is tension between the other four men. Will Lennox still have a chance to win the match, or will the other four combat inevitable DarkState interference on Saturday?<\/p>\n
