Whether intentional or not, the feat of winning all titles and therefore becoming a WWE Grand Slam Champion is one of the greatest accomplishments a WWE wrestler can achieve.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To be crowned in the modern era as a Grand Slam Champion for the men\u2019s roster, each of the four titles must have been held: a World Championship (WWE, Universal, or World Heavyweight), the Intercontinental Championship, the United States Championship, and the World Tag Team or WWE Tag Team Championship.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Since the criteria were revised in 2015 to exclude retired title belts, a surprising number of men have achieved this feat. Let\u2019s examine the most recent five who have attained this tremendous accomplishment.<\/span><\/p>\n<ol start=\"5\">\n<li>\n<h2><b> Rey Mysterio &#8211; May 19, 2019 <\/b><\/h2>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Oscar Gutierrez Rubio, better known as Rey Mysterio Jr., began his wrestling career at the age of 14 under the guiding hand of his uncle, Rey Misterio Sr., in his home country of Mexico. His mastery of the lucha libre style of wrestling caught the attention of Paul Heyman, who invited him to sign with ECW in 1995. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mysterio landed in WCW a year later, where he would spend the next five years gaining popularity with fans before the company was sold to WWE. He made his WWE debut on July 25, 2002, defeating Chavo Guerrero in a highly competitive matchup. It was in his debut that fans quickly discovered how high-flying and highly entertaining Mysterio was.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThe Ultimate Underdog\u201d would win his first championship as a Tag Team champion alongside Edge<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">on November 5, 2002,<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">quickly rising through the ranks before becoming the smallest World Champion in WWE history after defeating Randy Orton at WrestleMania 22 in 2006. His long-awaited moment of becoming a Grand Slam Champion occurred on May 19, 2019, defeating Samoa Joe for the United States Championship at Money in the Bank.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mysterio has won a total of 16 WWE championships in his career, including a Tag Team Championship victory with his son, Dominik, making them the first-ever father-son duo to achieve this accomplishment.\u00a0 His incredible career to date earned him induction into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2023.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li>\n<h2><b> AJ Styles &#8211; April 10, 2021\u00a0<\/b><\/h2>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Allen Neal Jones, who has gone by the ring name AJ Styles since 1999, would see a delayed introduction to WWE after he turned down their contract offer in 2002. He rose to acclaim in TNA and spent nearly 12 years as one of their cornerstone stars before leaving following a contract dispute. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After two years in the Indie circuits, Styles made his widely speculated WWE debut on January 24, 2016, at the 2016 Royal Rumble as the third entrant, one of the most shocking moments in the history of the PLE.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThe Phenomenal One\u201d began living up to his nickname immediately, feuding with Chris Jericho, Roman Reigns, and John Cena. His first WWE championship in his career came just over seven months later on September 11, 2016, at Backlash, where he defeated Dean Ambrose, becoming the first modern-day wrestler to win the WWE Championship without having wrestled in NXT. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Styles completed his quest to become a Grand Slam Champion on April 10, 2021, at WrestleMania 37 after winning the Raw Tag Team Championship with Omos.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Styles has won eight WWE championships to date and is the current Tag Team co-champion alongside Dragon Lee. He is the first wrestler to be crowned Triple Crown and Grand Slam Champion in TNA history, and the first Grand Slam winner to be crowned in both WWE and TNA. After a decorated career, Styles announced two months ago that 2026 would see him exit the ring and retire.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li>\n<h2><b> Kevin Owens &#8211; April 1, 2023\u00a0<\/b><\/h2>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kevin Steen began his career in Canada after catching the wrestling bug watching Shawn Michaels and Diesel battle it out at WrestleMania 11. His first language being French, he learned English by watching Monday Night Raw and imitating Jim Ross. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Steen made the rounds in the Canadian circuits before crossing into American pro-wrestling\u2019s Ring of Honor. He signed with WWE to NXT in 2014 and changed his ring name to Kevin Owens at the suggestion of Triple H in honor of his son, who was named after Owen Hart. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As the reigning NXT champion, he made his WWE main roster debut on the May 18, 2015, episode of Monday Night Raw, where he immediately confronted and attacked John Cena. Following the attack, he and Cena had a match at Elimination Chamber on May 31, 2015, where Owens shocked many by pinning Cena clean.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThe Prizefighter\u201d catapulted into popularity, winning his first title on September 20, 2015, by defeating Ryback at Night of Champions. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/2025\/10\/14\/definitive-rival-john-cena-in-wwe-the-goats-greatest-enemy\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">Notably feuding with John Cena<\/a>, Sami Zayn, Chris Jericho, and Roman Reigns throughout his career, Owens\u2019 quest to become a Grand Slam Champion would be realized on April 1, 2023, at Wrestlemania 39, where, alongside his long-time personal friend Sami Zayn, they defeated the Usos to become the Undisputed Tag Team champions.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Owens has won a total of 9 championships in his WWE career, and is the youngest WWE Universal Champion at the age of 32, becoming the second superstar to hold the title after Finn Balor vacated it due to injury.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li>\n<h2><b> Finn Balor \u00a0 September 2, 2023\u00a0<\/b><\/h2>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Fergal Devitt took up wrestling in Ireland at the age of 18, touring the country, the UK, and the US. He eventually opened his own wrestling promotion, NWA Ireland, with one of his pupils being none other than a young Becky Lynch. After impressing promoters in Japan, he was invited in 2006 to train with New Japan Pro Wrestling, making his debut under the ring name Prince Devitt. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He would rise to prominence within their ranks, becoming skilled in the Japanese style of professional wrestling and winning multiple title belts. He would sign with WWE to the NXT brand on May 14, 2014, revealing his new ring name a few months later: Finn Balor.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThe Demon\u201d made his main roster debut on July 25, 2016, on an episode of Monday Night Raw in a fatal four-way match that would determine the card for the inaugural WWE Universal Championship. After defeating Roman Reigns, Balor faced Seth Rollins at SummerSlam on August 21, 2016. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Shockingly, his first championship with the main roster came very early, as he became the first WWE Universal Champion by defeating Seth Rollins. Unfortunately, Balor had to vacate the championship the very next day following a shoulder injury that occurred during the match, which sidelined him for six months.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Balor would achieve Grand Slam status on September 2, 2023, when, alongside Damien Priest, they defeated Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn to claim the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship at Payback.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Balor has won a total of 12 WWE championships and is the first and only Irish-born Grand Slam Champion in WWE history. He most notably held the NXT Championship for 292 days, and is credited with being the quickest wrestler in WWE history to win a championship after their main roster debut at 27 days.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\n<h2><b> John Cena, November 10, 2025\u00a0<\/b><\/h2>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A childhood wrestling fan who would make title belts out of cardboard as a boy, John Cena began his wrestling career in 1999 with Ultimate Pro Wrestling. He would fight as The Prototype before being signed in 2001 with WWE to their developmental division, Ohio Valley Wrestling. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">His WWE main roster debut came on June 27, 2002, when he answered Kurt Angle\u2019s open challenge, proclaiming he had \u201cruthless aggression.&#8221; Wrestling as John Cena, he went on to nearly win his bout with Angle and displayed potential that would later come to fruition.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThe Champ\u201d initially did not resonate with fans and was in danger of losing his job when he was overheard by Stephanie McMahon and Paul Heyman freestyle rapping on a tour bus. This led to his famous \u201cDoctor of Thuganomics\u201d persona, ultimately saving his career. Cena\u2019s first championship title win came at WrestleMania 20 on March 14, 2004, where he defeated The Big Show to win the United States Championship. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After a legendary career, during the tail end of his Retirement Tour, Cena achieved Grand Slam status on November 10, 2025, during Monday Night Raw in Boston, Massachusetts, by defeating Dominik Mysterio for the Intercontinental Championship.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">John Cena is recognized as the most decorated wrestler in WWE, considered by many as the GOAT. He has won a record-setting 17 WWE World Championships and holds the record for the most WWE Championship wins at 14. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Guinness Book of Records credits him as having the longest babyface run at an incredible 7,786 days before turning heel at Elimination Chamber on March 1, 2025.
