On January 5, 2026, WWE will celebrate its first anniversary of airing Raw on Netflix and it seems the company is planning to pull out all the stops much like they did the first time around. On Raw on Monday, Paul Heyman announced that show will be main evented by a world championship match as Bron Breakker will challenge CM Punk for the title.<\/p>\n
The genesis of the match is Breakker pinned Punk to win War Games for his team, thanks to an assist from a masked assailant who at present, still remains a mystery. Breakker came out on Raw to cut a promo pointing out that he didn’t think beating Punk was going to be so easy. He thought he’d have to go to different level to beat the guy he grew up hearing stories about and who he grew up watching. But truth was, the Punk who stood across him in the ring was nothing more than a “softass b***h.”<\/p>\n
Breakker said Punk was like Seth Rollins, nothing more than a narcissistic veteran who should be more worried that his wife is a bigger star than he is. Breakker promised Punk a fight because on Saturday the man tried to break his neck and end his career and everything he’s worked for. So in January, Breakker was going to return the favor. He didn’t forget that Punk came up to him at WrestleMania and challenged him to see if he could hang with the big dogs. Well, on Raw next year, Breakker was going to make Punk look up at the lights and into Breakker’s eyes and realize he’s the real best in the world.<\/p>\n
