In his ESPN interview, Heyman talked about WWE’s future but did not focus on rising stars like Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, or Dominik Mysterio. He emphasized that he sees himself as the future leader of the company.

Paul Heyman Says His Best Work Is Yet to Come

Paul Heyman said that he has been in the business for almost 40 years and that he is only now beginning to understand the more complex sides of the industry. In his view, the process is not finished yet. He believes that the next stage of his career will be even more important.

He believes that he is the future of WWE, saying that he is still at the beginning of his journey. In his opinion, it has taken decades to learn the craft. Paul described his younger years as a time when he was still putting everything together. Now he feels that he is finally reaching true mastery. He thinks he has another 40 years to go and says that the world has not yet seen what he can do next.

Heyman is 60 years old this year, but he is confident that he can continue working in professional wrestling far into his later years, even imagining himself doing it at 100 years old.

Early Years in WWE

After ECW closed, Paul Heyman officially joined WWE in 2001. He became a commentator on Monday Night Raw, replacing Jerry Lawler during his temporary absence. Heyman held several creative roles and on-screen positions until he left in 2006, following constant conflicts with Vince McMahon about the creative direction of the ECW relaunch.

Heyman’s Return and Modern Era Influence

In 2012, Paul Heyman returned as an on-screen representative and the advocate for Brock Lesnar in WWE. He helped guide many stars, groups, and storylines over the past decade.

Photo Credit: By Miguel Discart – https://www.flickr.com/photos/miguel_discart/27092809982/, CC BY-SA 2.0,

He is now responsible for Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed, also known as The Vision, and continues to be one of the most important storytellers and personalities in the company.

More From LWOS Pro Wrestling

Header photo – WikiMedia Creative Commons – Stay tuned to the Last Word on Pro Wrestling for more on the Paul Heyman and other stories from around the world of wrestling, as they develop.
