Brie stood on the apron, and she kissed AJ.

AJ was taken by surprise, and Nikki nailed AJ in the face with a forearm. Trish Stratus Vs. Lita – 2004

Two of the all-time greats, Trish Stratus and Lita, clashed at Survivor Series 2004 over Trish’s WWE Women’s Championship. This bout was expected to be an epic, but Lita was there to destroy Trish.

The Women’s Championship was an afterthought for Lita. The two bitter rivals brawled on the outside, and Lita pushed Trish face-first into a steel chair, and her nose was legitimately broken. Lita got disqualified after she nailed Trish with a steel chair. It was more of an angle instead of a title match.

13. Jacqueline Vs. Sable – 1998

History was made at Survivor Series 1998 as Jacqueline and Sable clashed in the first Women’s Championship match at Survivor Series. Their Women’s Championship match was also the first women’s singles bout to take place at Survivor Series. However, their title clash was forgettable.

For sure, Sable wasn’t the finished article, but she was popular. Nevertheless, Sable captured the WWE Women’s Championship for the first time, and she went on to hold the title for six months.

12. LayCool Vs. Natalya – 2010

The WWE Divas Championship was defended for the first time at Survivor Series in 2010. Natalya had been hunting down the Divas Championship, and she challenged the co-holders, LayCool, for the title in a handicap match.

LayCool had the numbers advantage, but nothing was going to prevent Natalya from winning the Divas Championship. She cinched in the Sharpshooter on Michelle McCool, which was enough to win the Divas Championship. Natalya’s Divas Championship victory was her first title triumph in her WWE career.

11. Ivory Vs. Lita – 2000

The Right to Censor’s Ivory put her WWE Women’s Championship on the line against Lita at Survivor Series 2000. Lita was looking to reclaim the title she lost to Ivory in a fatal-4-way match on an episode of SmackDown. Moreover, the leader of RTC, Steven Richards, was in Ivory’s corner.

Ivory wrestling in boots hampered her movement in the bout, but after this match, she began to wear traditional wrestling boots again. Lita was legitimately bleeding around her eye, with the blood dripping down her face. Lita attempted the Moonsault, but Ivory clocked her with the Women’s Championship, and she stole a backdoor victory to remain as the WWE Women’s Champion.

10. Ronda Rousey Vs. Shotzi – 2022

For the first time in seven years, a Women’s Championship match featured at Survivor Series in 2022. “The Baddest Woman on the Planet,” Ronda Rousey defended the SmackDown Women’s Championship against Shotzi. Moreover, this was the first time that Shotzi challenged for the title on the main roster.

No one believed that Shotzi stood a chance to win the SmackDown Women’s Championship. Rousey convincingly retained the title after she forced Shotzi to tap out to the armbar.

9. Mighty Molly, Ivory, and the debuting Jazz represented the Alliance. The six-pack challenge was decent, but this was Trish’s crowning moment as she got the better of three-time Women’s Champion Ivory to win her maiden WWE Women’s Championship.

8. Beth Phoenix Vs. Eve Torres – 2011

Eve Torres prevailed in a battle royal, earning the right to challenge “The Glamazon” Beth Phoenix for the WWE Divas Championship at Survivor Series 2011 in a Lumberjill match. Eve countered the Glam Slam, and she countered it by applying a submission hold.

Natalya was one of the lumberjills, and she attempted to aid Phoenix in reaching the ropes. Natalya taunted Eve by saying she’s going to cry. Beth and Eve’s Divas Championship match was five minutes long, and Phoenix executed the Glam Slam from the top rope with the crowd popping en route to retaining the Divas Championship.

7. Eve Torres Vs. Kaitlyn – 2012

For the second consecutive year, Eve Torres was involved in a WWE Divas Championship match at Survivor Series. Eve and Kaitlyn collided in a solid match, with Eve tapping into her heel persona well by sarcastically smiling. However, Eve backed off when Kaitlyn gained some offense.

Eve begged for mercy, but Kaitlyn didn’t fall for it and slapped Eve in the face. Nonetheless, Kaitlyn nailed Eve with a gutbuster, but Eve kicked out. Ultimately, the reigning Divas Champion retained by finishing off Kaitlyn with a reverse neckbreaker.

6. Lita Vs. Mickie James – 2006

Lita’s retirement match was at Survivor Series 2006, a couple of months after her rival Trish Stratus retired as the Women’s Champion. Lita was looking to follow suit as she defended the WWE Women’s Championship against Mickie James. Lita made history by becoming the first woman in WWE history to compete in five Women’s Championship bouts at Survivor Series, breaking the tie of four that she shared with Trish.

This was a competitive Women’s Championship match, but Lita suffered abuse from fans. She became one of the most hated heels in the Ruthless Aggression era. Nevertheless, Lita once again tasted defeat at Survivor Series with a 0-5 losing record, as Mickie regained the Women’s Championship.

5. Charlotte Vs. Paige – 2015

The WWE Divas Championship featured for the final time at Survivor Series in 2015, with Charlotte Flair defending her title against two-time champion Paige. Their Divas Championship match wasn’t an instant classic by any stretch, but it was still a watchable contest.

Unfortunately, the crowd wasn’t interested, and both Charlotte and Paige fed off energy from the fans. The Queen speared Paige off the barricade onto the floor, which was a highlight of the match. Ultimately, Charlotte ensured that her Divas Championship reign wasn’t a flash in the pan as she retained the title with Paige submitting to the Figure Eight.

4. Molly Holly Vs. Lita – 2003

A couple of weeks before Survivor Series 2003, Crash Holly passed away. In her WWE Women’s Championship title defense against Lita, Molly Holly paid tribute to Crash by having “CH” on her sweatband. Moreover, Lita was out of action for 17 months, as she broke her neck while filming Dark Angel. Meanwhile, Lita was looking to claim her first win at Survivor Series and take home her second Women’s Championship.

Lita and Molly delivered an underrated Women’s Championship match. Molly executed the Molly-Go-Round, but somehow Lita kicked out. Furthermore, Molly used underhanded tactics by pushing Lita into the exposed turnbuckle to remain as the WWE Women’s Champion.

3. Rhea Ripley Vs. Zoey Stark – 2023

Surprisingly, Zoey Stark won a battle royal to become the number one contender for Rhea Ripley’s Women’s World Championship at Survivor Series 2023. This was a heel vs. heel championship match, and the crowd was pulling for the Judgment Day’s Eradicator. Stark was fired up in the early exchanges, and Ripley screamed at Stark by stating that this is her division.

Stark put up a good fight, and she attempted Z-360. However, Ripley was never in danger of losing her title, and she finished off Stark with her patented Riptide.

2. Trish Stratus Vs. Trish Stratus defended the WWE Women’s Championship, flying the flag for Raw, and SmackDown’s Melina was looking to bring the title over to SmackDown. Unquestionably, this is one of the most underrated Women’s Championship matches in WWE history that gets overlooked.

Melina had a good outing here, and it was evident that she was a future Women’s Champion. She had Joey Mercury and Johnny Nitro in her corner. This match was tons of fun, and despite Melina’s efforts, it wasn’t enough, but she could hold her head high as Trish retained the WWE Women’s Championship.

1. Trish Stratus Vs. Victoria – 2002

The psychotic Victoria was licking her lips when her Women’s Championship match at Survivor Series 2002 with Trish Stratus was under hardcore rules. Inside the hallowed halls of Madison Square Garden, Trish and Victoria’s Women’s Championship match fired on all cylinders.

Trash cans, broomsticks, and an ironing board came into play, as did a kendo stick and a fire extinguisher. Both Trish and Victoria were determined to leave MSG with the WWE Women’s Championship. Victoria’s nose was busted open, and she used the fire extinguisher, following it up with a snap suplex to become the new WWE Women’s Champion in a hard-fought battle.

More From LWOS Pro Wrestling

Header photo – WWE – Stay tuned to the Last Word on Pro Wrestling for more on WWE Survivor Series and other news stories from around the world of wrestling, as they develop.
