The Beast Incarnate was recently announced as a participant in the men’s WarGames match at Survivor Series, where he teams with Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, Logan Paul, and Drew McIntyre against CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, The Usos, and Roman Reigns.

Lesnar isn’t very synonymous with the Survivor Series event, with his last appearance at the event coming in 2019. The upcoming WarGames bout will also mark Lesnar’s first-ever participation in the brutal match. To date, Brock Lesnar has competed in just six Survivor Series matches. As we approach the event, let’s rank all his matches from the event from worst to best.

6. Goldberg (2016)

After leaving WWE in 2004, Goldberg stayed away from professional wrestling for 12 years before making his return in 2016. Upon his comeback, Goldberg immediately targeted Brock Lesnar, the same opponent he faced in his last WWE match at WrestleMania 20 in 2004. Despite their infamous original encounter being poorly received, fans were excited to see the two collide again at Survivor Series 2016.

The match, however, turned out to be a complete shocker. Goldberg hit Lesnar with two devastating spears and a Jackhammer, defeating The Beast Incarnate in just 1 minute and 26 seconds. Nobody expected Goldberg to squash The Beast so easily, and fans were genuinely shocked. While the moment itself was undeniably shocking and memorable, it wasn’t really a proper match, which is why it can’t be ranked higher.

5. Team Lesnar Vs. Team Angle (2003)

Brock Lesnar has rarely had on-screen allies in his WWE career, making his appearances in tag team matches very rare. At Survivor Series 2003, however, Lesnar found himself leading a team in the traditional 5-on-5 Survivor Series elimination match. Team Lesnar, consisting of Brock Lesnar, A-Train, Big Show, Matt Morgan, and Nathan Jones, battled against Team Angle, comprising Kurt Angle, Bradshaw, Chris Benoit, Hardcore Holly, and John Cena.

The contest was short, clocking in at just over 13 minutes. Lesnar managed to eliminate team captain Kurt Angle before eventually tapping out to Chris Benoit. Ultimately, John Cena eliminated Big Show from Team Lesnar to secure the victory for Team Angle, with Cena and Benoit standing tall as the sole survivors of the match.

4. Rey Mysterio (2019)

Given the contrasting wrestling styles of Brock Lesnar and Rey Mysterio, this match had all the makings of a classic encounter on paper. Sixteen years after their memorable one-on-one clash on SmackDown in 2003, the two wrestlers found themselves in a personal feud, culminating in a No Holds Barred WWE Championship match at Survivor Series 2019.

Mysterio quickly grabbed the lead pipe, which was a prominent part of the feud’s build-up, but Lesnar quickly managed to get control of the match, toying with Mysterio.

However, Rey staged an incredible comeback with the help of his son Dominik Mysterio, as the father-son duo hit Lesnar with a double 619, followed by a pair of Frog Splashes. Lesnar recovered quickly, though, delivering an F-5 on Mysterio to retain his title. While the match was pretty short, it was very memorable with an excellent false finish.

3. The Big Show (2002)

This marked Brock Lesnar’s first-ever appearance at a Survivor Series event, as The Next Big Thing defended his WWE Championship against Big Show. Despite this being his rookie year in the WWE, Lesnar had already compiled an impressive undefeated streak and established himself as a dominant force on the roster.

While the in-ring action wasn’t particularly spectacular, this match stands out due to the compelling story WWE told. Just as Lesnar was about to finish off Big Show, his manager, Paul Heyman, shockingly turned on him by pulling the referee out of the ring.

This allowed Big Show to hit Lesnar on his injured ribs with a Steel Chair and a Chokeslam for the win, handing Lesnar his first loss. Despite the match lasting under five minutes, it was booked perfectly and effectively advanced the storyline.

2. AJ Styles (2017)

This was a Champion vs. Champion match, where Brock Lesnar represented Raw as the Universal Champion, while AJ Styles represented SmackDown as the WWE Champion. It was initially supposed to be Jinder Mahal facing Lesnar, but Styles won the WWE Title from him just days before Survivor Series 2017 to set up this dream match.

It was a highly competitive affair, with AJ Styles putting on an outstanding underdog performance. Lesnar’s selling was exceptional throughout the match, making fans believe Styles really had a chance. In the end, Lesnar caught Styles mid-air during his attempt at a Phenomenal Forearm and delivered an F-5 to put him away.

1. Daniel Bryan (2018)

This was another Champion vs. Champion encounter, with Brock Lesnar representing Raw as the Universal Champion while Daniel Bryan represented SmackDown as the WWE Champion. Similar to the previous year’s build, Bryan captured the WWE Championship from AJ Styles just days before Survivor Series 2018, replacing Styles as Lesnar’s scheduled opponent.

Bryan had also turned heel in the process, which added an intriguing dynamic to this clash. The match began with Bryan mocking Lesnar, only to be brutally dominated by the Universal Champion. However, Bryan shifted the momentum with a calculated low blow, transforming the second half of the match into an absolutely thrilling contest. Despite his valiant effort, Bryan ultimately fell short when Lesnar defeated him with an F-5 to secure the victory.

More From LWOS Pro Wrestling

Header photo – WWE – Stay tuned to the Last Word on Pro Wrestling for more on WWE Survivor Series and other news stories from around the world of wrestling, as they develop.
