Earlier on Friday, various official WWE social media channels reported that Sheamus has been officially ruled out for the John Cena “The Last Time is Now Tournament.”<\/a> Per the breaking news, WWE medical officials have not medically cleared Sheamus for action; thus, the “Celtic Warrior” needed to forfeit his quarterfinals slot.<\/p>\n

The news was further elaborated upon this week’s WWE SmackDown<\/a>, with Michael Cole confirming the injury, and informed fans that Sheamus’s would-be quarterfinals opponent, LA Knight, who he would’ve faced on next week’s SmackDown, will have a different opponent, with SmackDown and Raw General Managers Nick Aldis and Adam Pearce discussing who could step in to fill the role on short notice.<\/p>\n

It’s quite a shame since Sheamus recently teamed up with John Cena and Rey Mysterio, in Cena’s final WWE Monday Night Raw match, to defeat The Judgment Day in a feel-good match.<\/p>\n
