There were many surprising names on this list that fans would’ve assumed won more matches in their careers based on their status in the company. Are things the same on the AEW side? Let’s take a look.

Jon Moxley

Total PPV matches: 33

Losses: 15

Wins: 18

Draws: 0

Jon Moxley has been an integral part of AEW since their first pay-per-view in 2019, Double or Nothing. Moxley debuted toward the end of the show, where he attacked Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega.

His first match took place against Joey Janela, whom he defeated at Fyter Fest 2019. Over the next few months, he feuded with Kenny Omega. His next rivalry was with Chris Jericho over the AEW World Championship. They tussled it out at Revolution 2020, where Moxley won his first AEW World Title.

There’s no denying that Moxley carried the company on his back during the COVID-19 pandemic. It’s why a lot of people respect him. On PPVs, Moxley has a positive win ratio, but he’s still got 15 losses out of 33 matches.

Chris Jericho

Total PPV matches: 30

Losses: 16

Wins: 14

Draws: 0

Chris Jericho was the first major star to sign with AEW. He was also their first AEW World Champion and helped put them on the map. Over the years, the crowd turned on Jericho due to overexposure, and while he has tried to reinvent himself many times, he just hasn’t been able to win the crowd back.

There have been a lot of fans who don’t want to see him in AEW anymore, and rumors suggest he could return to WWE in the future. Either way, it wouldn’t change the fact that Jericho had an impressive run in the company. His PPV win/loss record stands at 16 losses and 14 wins in 30 matches.

Orange Cassidy

Total PPV matches: 29

Losses: 17

Wins: 12

Draws: 0

Orange Cassidy has been a popular name among fans for many years now. But due to the nature of his gimmick, Cassidy doesn’t need to win that many matches. It’s probably why he’s lost more times than he’s won on AEW PPVs. He has 17 losses and only 12 wins so far.

Photo Credit: By Super Festivals from Ft. They’ve both worked the same number of PPV matches, 35, in AEW so far, and have the same win/loss record at 20-15. All of their PPV bouts have been tag team matches, so it only makes sense to add them as a group here.

While the brothers have enjoyed their fair share of success in AEW with numerous championship belts as well as holding an Executive Vice President position behind the scenes, it doesn’t mean that they always book themselves to get over.

They’ve got a positive win ratio overall in the company, but when it comes to the pay-per-views, the Young Bucks tend to lose more often than not. In 2025, for instance, they’ve only won a single match on PPV, which came at Wrestle Dynasty in January.

More From LWOS Pro Wrestling

Header photo – WikiMedia Creative Commons – Stay tuned to the Last Word on Pro Wrestling for more on this and other stories from around the world of wrestling, as they develop.
