Former AEW World Champion MJF has been noticeably absent from AEW programming, but his time away is far from downtime. Instead, for the meantime, at least, the \u201cSalt of the Earth\u201d has shifted his focus to Hollywood, where he has taken on a growing slate of film projects that are helping reshape his public persona and expand his career beyond wrestling.<\/p>\n

MJF Prospers in Movie Production<\/h2>\n

According to reports, MJF has adjusted well to life on set and has been doing great with his ongoing movie projects. One of his latest works is Violent Night 2, which was filmed in Winnipeg and is almost complete. This comes after his recent notable roles in Happy Gilmore 2 and the wrestling drama The Iron Claw.<\/p>\n

The filming schedule has caused his absence from AEW. MJF has no confirmed date for his return to AEW, although shooting is nearing its end. Some people within the company have said that he has fully embraced his acting role and is excited about where this new path might take him.<\/p>\n

The demanding schedule has also affected his personal life. His wife, Alicia Atout, joked that they wouldn\u2019t have time to go on their honeymoon because of his back-to-back filming and wrestling commitments overseas.<\/p>\n

MJF\u2019s Message on His Time Away<\/h2>\n

After his loss to Mark Briscoe, MJF explained that his time away wasn\u2019t just an absence but a necessary step for personal rebuilding. He said he needed to regain his confidence and made the decision not to return to wrestling until he was sure he could perform at his best again.<\/p>\n

With production almost finished and a renewed sense of motivation, MJF seems ready to return to AEW with stronger momentum and even more star power. When he finally steps back onto AEW television, it may not only be a comeback but the beginning of a new era for one of wrestling\u2019s most captivating personalities.<\/p>\n
