The Halloween season is upon us. It\u2019s that time of year when young and old alike don costumes to attend various parties or parade around the neighborhood collecting candy. It\u2019s a magical time when we get to assume the guise of our favourite characters from every part of pop culture.<\/p>\n

For the wrestling fan, it\u2019s the time of year we can\u2019t wait for. It\u2019s the time when we can dress up as any wrestler we desire. We can get creative with thrift shopping for the materials needed, and the payoff is undeniable. To get a nod of recognition when someone sees your outrageous outfit is a great feeling.<\/p>\n

As the spooky day approaches, many wrestlers would be perfect to dress up as. There are some wonderful choices to make from all of WWE\u2019s eras. Below, we will examine your best options for costumes this Halloween.<\/p>\n

Hulk Hogan<\/strong><\/h2>\n

We can start with perhaps the most popular of Halloween costumes. Hulk Hogan is a staple in the costume community. He was the main face of WWE\u2019s Golden Era and a huge representative of our childhoods. He is one of the more recognizable wrestlers, transcending the world of professional wrestling. Even the most out-of-touch person knows who Hulk Hogan is.<\/p>\n

Hulk Hogan is an easy costume to put together. You can often find red and yellow clothing at most thrift shops. Adding the extra accouterments, such as his classic bandanna and handlebar mustache, completes a costume that will elicit a great reaction from anyone at your party, whether they’re a wrestling fan or not.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Macho Man\u201d Randy Savage <\/strong><\/h2>\n

Heading back to WWE\u2019s Golden Era, we have one of its greatest wrestlers. The Macho Man was a larger-than-life wrestler who was as flashy as they come. Top to bottom, his get-up was fantastic. It created a very memorable character, and one that has been copied ad nauseam come Halloween time.<\/p>\n

It would be a lot of work to put together the Macho Man costume, but if you pulled it off, you would win yourself a few contests. The costume is an instantly recognizable one and encapsulates all that makes Halloween a great time. It might be lost on some of the younger ones out there, but it would be a huge hit with most Halloween party goers.<\/p>\n

\u201cStone Cold\u201d Steve Austin <\/strong><\/h2>\n

If one were looking to go an easier route this Halloween, then look no further than the man who led WWE into the Attitude Era. Steve Austin was a mega-star during his run and joined the pantheon of wrestlers who became bigger than their business. Austin was the man; there was nothing fancy about how he presented himself.<\/p>\n

The ease of a \u201cStone Cold\u201d Steve Austin costume makes it an attraction option every year. A leather vest, black boots, jeans, and a bald cap are all you need. Add in a goatee and an \u201cAustin 3:16\u201d shirt, and you’re set. This is a costume that isn\u2019t hard to pull off, and it’s of a wrestler who is still relevant in the world. Plus, it doesn\u2019t look out of place for one to walk around with a beer in their hand.<\/p>\n

The Undertaker <\/strong><\/h2>\n

Going a more traditional route, we look no further than the man from Death Valley. The Undertaker terrorized World Wrestling Entertainment for three decades. His character had everything to do with the supernatural. The Undertaker was a character straight out of a horror movie and is a straightforward Halloween costume idea.<\/p>\n

The Undertaker is another fairly easy costume to throw together. A cowboy hat and a long coat are all one needs to complete the ensemble. Sure, some face paint and a curly wig would help out, but these are easily purchased. It might not receive instant recognition from your crowd, but you will get the appreciative nod from those in the know.<\/p>\n

Legion of Doom\/Demolition <\/strong><\/h2>\n

Heading into the Halloween season, the singular costume is a mainstay. It\u2019s easier to work a costume by yourself, but if you\u2019re in the creative mood, you could grab a friend and try your hand at some of WWE\u2019s classic tag teams. The best of which is the Legion of Doom, or their counterparts, Demolition. Both are visually striking tandems, and ones that are sure to get some great reactions when you and your tag team partner enter the party.<\/p>\n

Both tag teams would take some work to assemble, but thankfully, most of it could be done from the comfort of your own home. Hockey pads, paints, and cardboard spikes are all it would take to make yourself a part of WWE\u2019s past. Even if party goers don\u2019t know the reference, it\u2019s a costume that would most assuredly get a reaction.<\/p>\n
