Since late last year, Zaria and Sol Ruca have made a great partnership. Dubbed “ZaRuca”, they have impressed fans with their athletic ability and great teamwork. Zaria has been as good as advertised, as she has shown her athleticism in many ways. Ruca has also been impressive, leading her to many title reigns. She is the current Women’s Speed Champion, as she beat Candice LeRae in April.<\/p>\n

But that’s not the only title she currently holds. She is also the current Women’s North American Champion, winning in a six-woman ladder match at Stand & Deliver. She was going to defend that championship against Blake Monroe at Halloween Havoc on Saturday. But an injury to her left the match up in the air.<\/p>\n

Zaria Steps Up for Her Injured Partner<\/h2>\n

Zaria and Ruca have definitely impressed WWE management in a big way. They got an opportunity to face Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair for the Women’s Tag Team Championships. The match<\/a> took place on the October 17, 2025, episode of Friday Night SmackDown. Unfortunately, they both lost the match and suffered an injury scare. Ruca was helped to the back afterwards, but the nature of the injury wasn’t confirmed at that point.<\/p>\n

On the October 21, 2025, episode of NXT, she updated everyone on her injury and the future of her championship match. People were hoping that it was a story angle, but unfortunately, the injury was real. She arrived at NXT with a leg brace and a crutch. It looked like she was going to have to vacate the championship and not face Monroe on Saturday. However, her tag team partner had other plans.<\/p>\n

Monroe complained that NXT deserved a North American Champion, something that NXT General Manager agreed with. Zaria countered with a proposal. She would fight her in Ruca’s place for the Women’s North American Championship. Ava thought it was a good idea, but it wasn’t going to become reality through just her. Ruca had to agree to let Zaria take her place in the championship match.<\/p>\n

She thought it was a good idea to let Zaria compete in her place. Ava then made the match official for Halloween Havoc on Saturday. That enraged Monroe, as she got in her face after thinking that she was going to be handed the title. But she’ll have to face a formidable opponent in Zaria on Saturday if she wants to claim the title as her own.<\/p>\n

She picked her up and slammed her to the mat, stopping her complaining for good. Ruca is currently injured, with an unknown timeline for coming back to the ring. Luckily, things still worked out for her as her best friend will be competing at Halloween Havoc.<\/p>\n
