They have been going at each other with small jabs, but nothing real major. However, after the events that took place on the October 21, 2025 episode of Monday Night Raw, Mysterio should leave Balor and the rest of the Judgment Day.

The previous week, he was complaining about how he was the only person who defended his championships. An eager to compete AJ Styles was listening, as well as Raw General Manager Adam Pearce. Styles suggested a match with Dragon Lee for Balor and JD McDonagh’s World Tag Team Championships. Backstage, Balor got angry at Mysterio for accidentally setting the match up. Given that they lost the titles, next week will probably be a major breaking point for him. Knowing Mysterio’s popularity and skills, he would be right in leaving him and the faction behind.

Mysterio Will Be Blamed for Balor and McDonagh’s Failure

Balor and McDonagh had an uneventful run as World Tag Team Champions. A big part of that assessment was that they didn’t defend their titles. Since they won them back in June, they only defended them one time prior to them losing. It was three months between their last title defense and losing them. They obviously adopted the strategy that they can’t lose the titles if they don’t defend them.

WHO WILL LEAVE RAW AS WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS? 🏆 pic.twitter.com/Ji7lIjFmqu

— WWE (@WWE) October 21, 2025

Styles was tired of that, so instead of asking Pearce for a match, Mysterio did that himself. It’s clear his mouth got Balor and McDonagh into the match. Now that they’ve lost the titles, Balor will only blame one man, and it won’t be him or McDonagh. Mysterio will be the sole person blamed for the loss. Knowing how hard he’s worked and the disrespect he’s gotten from Balor, he should absolutely leave the Judgment Day for good.

He Already Has a Great Solo Career Underway

Even though Mysterio has been a member of the Judgment Day for years, he isn’t tied to them. He’s already had some singles exploits over the last couple of months. Those adventures have led him to increased popularity and two championship title reigns. He has had an entertaining run as Intercontinental Champion. For the past few months, he has fended off Penta, Rusev, and others in slippery ways. He’s also had a rivalry with El Hijo del Vikingo that paid off mightily for him.

At Worlds Collide: Las Vegas, he defeated Vikingo to become the AAA Mega Champion. As part of WWE buying AAA, he is regularly acknowledged as AAA Mega Champion and carries the title to the ring whenever he can. The best part is that he didn’t need the Judgment Day for help. He already has a solo career that has survived without any of them.

Now is the Time for Mysterio to Leave the Judgment Day

What happened on Monday led to a variety of emotions for Mysterio. He cheated in his own special way to stop Rusev from getting the Intercontinental Championship. But Balor and McDonagh lost the World Tag Team Championships. He’s happy because he took care of his business, but soon enough he’ll be in front of a furious Balor.

DIRTY DOM DOES IT AGAIN! 🫢 pic.twitter.com/QQQRZWTHQK

— WWE (@WWE) October 21, 2025

Instead of apologizing to everyone that he cost Balor and McDonagh the championships, he should stand up for himself. He’s said before that he doesn’t need the Judgment Day to keep his dominance intact. Balor needs him, not the other way around. Given the crowd’s reactions towards him and the fact that he’s a double champion should prove to everyone that he is the workhorse of the Judgment Day.
