Before he can provide the promised Seth Rollins update however, cameras shift to the arrival of Bron Breakker, still in possession of Rollins stolen championship, Paul Heyman, and Bronson Reed. The three join Pearce in the ring. Pearce says he knew Rollins was banged up after Crown Jewel but no one will know how badly because of what the Brons did. Because of what ‘they’ did, Rollins needed to have major surgery and is on the shelf for quite a while.

So as of right now, the world title is now vacated. Pearce promises to crown a new champion at Saturday Night’s Main Event. CM Punk earned his right and he will face the winner of an over-the-top battle royal. Oh and that battle royal, it’s tonight! Pearce attempts to collect the title back from Breakker but he suggests refusing to do so. Heyman pulls him aside before Breakker tells Pearce he just needs to ask nicely and show him some respect. So Pearce does but Breakker, stopped by ‘CM Punk’ chants, makes Pearce say ‘please.’ So he does, and Breakker hands the belt to…Heyman, who then gives it to Pearce.

As Pearce leaves, Heyman takes the mic to ask why everyone is so mad at them for what they did. He says he watches Unreal, he knows they are the bad guys, the heels. It’s easy to point at them and boo (to which the crowd does exactly that). But Heyman doesn’t know what they did to deserve it as the Vision had nothing to do with Rollins. Heyman didn’t leave his tribal chief or betray his best friend for Rollins. No, everything he did, he did for Breakker, the future of WWE. He did what he did because he always knew Reed was better than Roman Reigns and he proved that at Crown Jewel. Heyman said this is his vision because Rollins couldn’t shoulder the responsibility of leading the group into the future. He’s not a visionary or a revolutionary or the workhorse of the Shield…he’s not the leader of the Vision, he’s a “bum shoulder bitch.” Heyman says winners write history and the winners are right there. Breakker and Reed conspired to take Rollins’ spot away. They pulled the trigger with their ambition and now, they are going to be WrestleMania main eventers. Heyman thanks the fans for their time before welcoming them to Monday Night Raw.

Judgment Day and Tag Title Match

Backstage with the Judgment Day, Raquel Rodriguez is hyping up Roxanne Perez when Dominik Mysterio arrives on the scene, catching strays from Finn Balor and JD McDonagh, wondering why he had to go and talk to Pearce. Mysterio points out all he said was that he was the only one who seemed to be defending his title every week. Mysterio wonders if Balor and McDonagh are complaining because they can’t beat AJ Styles and Dragon Lee. McDonagh says Mysterio will need to handle his business without them because they’ve got to focus on their match. Perez plays up to Mysterio as Rodriguez breaks them apart saying she needs to focus on her match.

Styles and McDonagh start things off, locking up in the center of the ring as looking for early holds. McDonagh has the early edge but Styles fights back with a dropkick before tagging out to Lee, who lays into McDonagh. Lee hits a double stomp but then gets out of the way and lands one of his own before tagging out to Balor, who kicks Lee repeatedly before chopping him against the ropes. Lee gets some steam back as he hypes up the crowd and utilizes his athleticism to take out both Balor in the ring and McDonagh on the apron. Balor rolls out of a pin and gets a nearfall before taking over the match. He tags McDonagh back in as the two double team Lee in their corner. McDonagh distracts the ref as Balor rakes the eyes. McDonagh with a nearfall as the crowd chant for Styles. But Judgment Day keep Lee isolated, continuing to tag in and out and keep Lee from Styles. McDonagh knocks Styles off the apron before Lee can tag out but no, Styles is back in and takes out both McDonagh and Balor before dragging Lee to his corner for the tag. Styles comes in hot but no, McDonagh pulls the ropes and sends Styles flying as we go to break.

It’s Styles and Balor both down in the center of the ring after the break and both tag out. Lee comes in hot to take out both Balor and McDonagh—the two fight to the apron before Lee looks to climb the ropes. McDonagh takes the ropes out again but he can’t climb to the top as Lee fights him off and hits the double stomp with McDonagh upside down from the ropes. Balor pulls McDonagh out of the ring but that’s okay, Lee takes them both out with a dive over the top. Lee and McDonagh back in the ring. Lee goes for the powerbomb but no, McDonagh reverses and hits his own to buy some time. Tags back to Styles and Balor. McDonagh back in the ring and Styles takes him out. Lee takes McDonagh out over the ropes. Balor throws Lee over the top. Styles hits the Phenomenal Forearm but at the last possible second, McDonagh breaks up the pin, keeping the titles with Judgment Day for the moment. Styles with the pele to McDonagh before McDonagh hits the Spanish Fly and gets his own nearfall. Balor back in for the double team. McDonagh with the moonsault and Balor with the coup de grace but no, Lee breaks it up taking out McDonagh and Balor. Lee throws McDonagh over the ropes but can’t get him with the suicide dive. Back to Balor and Styles, Balor goes for a Styles Clash but no, Styles reverses and hits his own. There’s no breaking this one up. Styles and Lee are the new champs!

Us-No

Backstage, Jey Uso confronts Jimmy Uso and apologizes for what he said last week. He said he wasn’t mad at his brother. He was mad at himself for making the same mistake. But if Big Uce was here…Jimmy interrupts him. Roman’s not there. He won’t be in the battle royal tonight, but the two of them are. Jimmy says that Roman has him thinking that sticking his neck out to help people is why he lost his title when the real reason is because Jey stopped believing in himself. Jey says his brother’s right but Roman could be right too. Jimmy says Jey will need to figure things out before the battle royal because when that match happens, he’s going in on everybody including his brother. Jey tells him to bring it before confirming the two of them are good.

That’s when the commentators announce some of tonight’s battle royal competitors: Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso, LA Knight…before showing a graphic with the rest: Rusev, Grayson Waller, Kofi Kingston, Dominik Mysterio, Finn Balor, JD McDonagh, Otis, El Grande Americano, Penta, Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, AJ Styles, Dragon Lee, Sheamus, Tozawa, and Ivar.

Rusev vs Dom

Before the match even starts, Mysterio attacks Rusev on the outside and rams him into the steel steps. Back in the ring however, Rusev immediately fires back, barely showing results of his attack. The bell rings and it’s all Rusev, just laying into Mysterio with brute strength and power. Rusev just throws Mysterio around from pillar to post as the commentators talk about Mysterio’s new neck tattoo…slow news day, I guess. Rusev maintains complete control, Mysterio not able to get any offense in after his initial assult. The crowd rally behind Mysterio, who finally, mounts an attack going to the ropes again and again to ground Rusev. As he attempts a crossbody, Rusev catches him but Mysterio counters and sets up for the 6-1-9. Rusev manages to take him down before he can though and lands a series of suplexes as Mysterio is sent rolling out of the ring. We go to break.

Back from break, Rusev is still on top but Mysterio manages to rally. He attempts to lift Rusev but Rusev lifts Mysterio instead before Mysterio counters and almost gets a roll through. With Rusev down, Mysterio heads to the top but Rusev gets the knees up and kicks Mysterio in the face before the backbreaker. Rusev hulks up, looking for the Accolade but Mysterio manages to roll out of the ring before Rusev can. Mysterio grabs his titles and looks to be grabbing his ball and going home but Penta blocks his way. Rusev drags Mysterio back into the ring before taking out Penta. This allows Mysterio time to shove the hammer in his boot. He goes for the 6-1-9 with the hammer but Rusev blocks him and pulls the hammer out. The referee goes to clear the hammer from the ring but the distraction allows Mysterio the chance to hit the low blow and then 6-1-9 to get the win. Penta takes out Rusev after the match.

Maxxine vs Becky

Lynch goes right after Dupri and doesn’t let up as the referee needs to separate them on multiple occasions. In the center of the ring, Lynch looking for a Manhandle Slam but Dupri reverses into a roll up and gets the first nearfall of the match. Lynch throws Dupri out of the ring to the outside as the referee starts the count. We head into break.

Back from break and Lynch is on the outside with Dupri, beating her down. Both women back in the ring and Dupri sneaks another roll up. It’s mostly Lynch but Dupri is getting in a little offense. She fires up and mounts a rally against Lynch, taking out the champ with a step up leg drop for a nearfall. Dupri with a suplex and kip up before a huge knee to Lynch’s face. Yay/boo chops in the center of the ring as Lynch takes over, but she can’t get the slam for a third time. Dupri gets another nearfall before locking in the Ankle Lock in the center of the ring. Lynch manages to power out though and finally takes Dupri down. Lynch locks in the hold but Dupri manages to fight out of it back into another Ankle Lock. Dupri to the top but Lynch stops her momentum and follows her up. Dupri sends Lynch facefirst to the mat before a crossbody but no, Lynch kicks out and rolls out of the ring. She grabs her title and much like Mysterio, seemd to be taking her ball and goin ghome. But Dupri won’t let her, rolling her back into the ring. Lynch tries to use the title to take out Dupri but no, the ref doesn’t allow it. Dupri gets another nearfall but no. Lynch hits Dupri with the championship for the DQ and continues to attack Dupri after, obviously frustrated as the crowd chant for AJ Lee. Lynch finally lets up and heads back up the ramp.

Paul Heyman is backstage with Adam Pearce. Pearce says he just had a graphic that needed to be changedand it pertains to Heyman. Reed and Breakker needed to come off the graphic for the battle royal because both of them are officially out of the match. Pearce says if they want back in, Heyman has to say please. Heyman asks nicely and Pearce mocks Breakker from earlier, saying it wasn’t so hard. But he tells Heyman no, the Brons aren’t back in the match.

Lynch shows up and corners Heyman. He says he had no choice as the Brons conspired against Rollins because of his injury. Heyman says he got on his hands and his knees last week, putting himself in harm’s way, until it became a reality and he had no choice. Heyman says Lynch is the breadwinner now and the #1 rule is survive the day. He survived last week but unfortunately Rollins did not. But there is a vision that includes her and it’s win/win for her. She can have a hot husband at home and an adorable oracle on the road. Heyman tells Lynch to think about it but she doesn’t need to. She calls Heyman a Penguin-faced prick, who she never liked or trusted. She says unlike those whose coattails he rode on, Rollins knew Heyman was going to turn on him. He was almost surprised it took so long. Heyman is nothing without Rollins. Whatever new nepo baby he attaches himself to, Rollins will kill. He won’t kill Heyman, but he’ll wish he was dead.

Stephanie Vaquer vs Roxanne Perez

The two lock up with Vaquer getting the early advantage. It’s noted that Vaquer has the most wins this year but Perez has the most televised matches this year with 41 (tied with LA Knight). Vaquer continues to work Perez’ extremeties with both utilizing a more techincal start. Perez finally gets Vaquer down but only briefly as Vaquer responds quickly and transitions into a hold. Perez with the bridge though and gets a nearfall before Vaquer does the same. Both women back to their feet, exchanging moves and submissions. Perez rolls out to regroup with Raquel Rodriguez but Vaquer gives chase. Both womeb back in the ring as Vaquer takes over and looks for the Devil’s Kiss but Perez rolls to the ropes and grabs the apron. Quick distraction allows Rodriguez to rake the eyes as we head to break.

Back from break, both women are back up and it’s pretty even. Vaquer responds with power, taking Perez out in the corner. Meteora in the corner as Vaquer gets the dragonscrew to Perez in the ropes. She sets up for Devil’s Kiss again, landing it this time, but Perez kicks out as Vaquer grabs her wrist. Vaquer looks for the SVP but Perez has it scouted and goes back to working Vaquer’s injured arm. Nearfall for Perez as she continues to work the wrist. She looks for a crossface but no. Perez going for Pop Rox but no, Vaquer counters and hits the 6-1-9. But Perez once again goes after the wrist and takes out Vaquer in the ropes. Vaquer takes out Rodriguez and Perez on the outside with a huge crossbody. She rolls Perex back in the ring and hits the Angel Wings for the win. Rodriqguez and Perez attack after the match until Nikki Bella runs down to take out both before eatting a huge boot from Rodriguez. Vaquer gets back to her feet but Rodriguez’ power is too much to overcome. All four briefly brawl in the center of the ring before Rodriguez and Perez head to the back.

Pearce is back with Lyra Valkyria when Bayley shows up. She says she hasn’t slept since they won their big match last week. She has an idea. It’s a surprise for Valkyria’s birthday. Valkyria said she should tell her right now but Bayley says she’ll have to wait until next week. Backstage with the Brons as Heyman arrives. Breakker doesn’t understand how they came here with the title and now can’t even fight for it. Heyman says in 2002 there was a rookie named Brock Lesnar, who could have eaten through the whole roster right away but he didn’t. He listened to Heyman. Then there was Punk in 2012, but he listened to Heyman and got a 434 day title reign. Heyman then mentions all of Reigns’ main events. He made him the tribal chief because he listened to him. Heyman says it’s not just about who they can slaughter but about the backstage politics and that’s where he comes in. Heyman says the two of them are the future before leaving as the Brons talk about wanting to hurt people.

Bella is completing Vaquer backstage and says she’s taken the world by storm. She wants her to be cautious. Vaquer says she owes Bella as the two say they have each other’s backs.

#1 Contender’s Battle Royal Results

Kicking off as we Yeet our way through Sacramento with both Usos and some baby Jey picked up from the crowd…Yeet, part 2 and we’re finally underway as Sheamus is out next before we head to commercial.

A bunch of people are already in the ring as Americano makes his entrance followed by Penta and Knight and finally, the man of the hour, CM Punk. Punk exchanges looks with Knight and Jey before heading to the commentary desk and we are underway.

Otis and Ivar with a big meaty men exchange which Otis wins before taking out half of the field. He comes face to face with Rusev and those two begin brawling in the center. Rusev gets the upperhand and takes out Otis as the first elimination. Tozawa hulks up to go after Rusev and gets tossed out of the ring for his trouble.

Rusev goes after Penta as Dominik Mysterio almost gets tossed out by Jey. Lee to the apron and he’s taken out by Balor and McDonagh in a little revenge for losing their titles earlier in the night.

McDonagh goes after Styles before Penta goes after McDonagh and he and Rusev battle on the apron. Mysterio takes advantage of their positioning and takes both of them out. We head to break.

Back from break and we see everyone going after Ivar. Sheamus comes over and the two begin throwing bows at each other. Sheamus tries to lift Ivar but no such luck. He manages to get him over the ropes but Ivar lands on the apron. Sheamus finally gets him up over his shoulders and takes him out.

Americano loads the mask before going after the Usos, who team up to take him down and throw him out of the ring.

Sheamus has Mysterio over his shoulders but Balor and McDonagh make the save before going after Styles. They get him over the top but Sheamus goes after both, eliminating McDonagh. Balor stays on the apron but eats 10 beats for his trouble before Sheamus takes him out. He then goes after McDonagh, already eliminated, and Balor gets back in the fray, before Kingston throws Sheamus out. Sheamus and Judgment Day fight their way to the back as Styles throws out Mysterio. Mysterio gets back in because the refs didn’t see him eliminated apparently. We go to another break.

Back from break and we see Jey going after Mysterio, Kingston on Styles, who manages to skin the cat to stay in it, and Jimmy and Knight. Styles gets Kingston to the apron but he manages to get back in. And a second time, but it’s the third one that gets him.

Knight and Jimmy back at in the center before Styles goes after Knight. Jey kicks Knight and Knight throws him to the apron but Jey stays alive with the Yeet/Yeah punches. Jey is teetering as Jimmy comes in to make the save. They double superkick Styles as Jimmy throws Styles out.

Knight gets Jimmy up but Jimmy fights out. He and Knight get mixed up on the top ropes and when Jey has the chance to return the favor and save Jimmy, he pushes him out alongside Knight.

It’s down to Jey and Mysterio as Jey throws Mysterio over the top to set up Jey Uso vs CM Punk at Saturday Night’s Main Event. Jimmy is on the outside furious as Punk hypes up the ‘cutthroat’ Jey and commentators remind Jimmy saved Jey twice. Punk gets in the ring and they go head-to-head as Jimmy looks on.

More From LWOS Pro Wrestling

Header photo – WWE – Stay tuned to the Last Word on Pro Wrestling for more on the WWE Raw results and other stories from around the world of wrestling, as they develop.
