Wednesday night is the final stop before the Antonio Inoki-inspired PPV, and Tony Khan has stacked it with potential bangers and penultimate storyline moments.

Big names are still absent, such as The Young Bucks and AEW Men’s World champion Hangman Adam Page. However, given the latter’s world title opponent, Samoa Joe will be in action against Los Faccon Ingobernable, something explosive might happen. Elsewhere, The Young Bucks may have plans for Jurassic Express before or after facing allies, The Don Callis Family.

Destructive force meets raw power as The Hurt Syndicate will seek to break GOA before their six-man battle on Saturday. Jamie Hayter takes on Skye Blue before the Brit tries to get one-on-one revenge with Thekla. We get classic ROH vibes when Roderick Strong takes on Claudio Castagnoli. Plus, a clash of ethos when Orange Cassidy and Kyle O’Reilly take on the Death Riders’ Daniel Garcia and Wheeler Yuta.

Famous Last Words and Face-to-Face

For two of WrestleDream’s most anticipated matches, opponents will meet face to face one last time to plant their flags and gain a psychological advantage. However, even if each side agrees to no physicality, that doesn’t quell the unpredictability.

Dabry Allin and Jon Moxley have attempted to maim and kill each other. Fighting near train tracks, wielding flame throwers, and brawling at comic cons, the hatred is palpable. You could stab the tension with a fork, and it would bleed like a gusher.

Darby Allin planted his flag on Moxley’s scalp a long time before leaving to climb Everest. Ahead of their I Quit match, can Allin show on the microphone that he can match the Death Riders’ leader? Will either hand have last-minute, violent tricks up its sleeves?

Entitled “Famous Last Words”, this next meeting between “Timeless” Toni Storm and Kris Statlander won’t be a friendly, sapphic love-in like their past conversation. As seen after their trio’s loss, animosity is high, and both women are ready to raise fists. Like Allin with Moxley, we’ve watched Statlander match Storm’s energy, but can the AEW Women’s World Champion eclipse it and stand out above the Timeless on?

Can Kenny Omega Trust Jack Perry?

On Collision, Kota Ibushi legitimately injured himself. Kenny Omega’s war with The Don Callis Family becomes even more personal. The offer of support from Jack Perry, who took out Omega in his hometown and reveled in damaging The Cleaner’s injured intestines, was not easy. Omega hasn’t forgiven Perry, in the same way fans have.

Trust could be earned back this Wednesday. For an AEW party match, Jurassic Express is a perfect duo. Representing The Don Callis Family are Hechicero and Kota Ibushi’s last opponent, Josh Alexander. Joining them is the returning Mark Davis, who, before his injury, was really starting to come into his own as a powerhouse. For storytelling and action, it’s going to be a fun watch.

This match could also set up an Omega singles match for WrestleDream. Will Callis have further plans to tear Omega apart post-match like he did on the Dynamite Anniversary show? Or will The Cleaner and partners be ready?

AEW Dynamite/Collision Live 3-Hour Special Matches Announced

Claudio Castagnoli vs. Roderick Strong

AEW World Trios Championship: The Opps (c) vs. Los Faccon Ingobernable

The Hurt Syndicate vs. GOA

Skye Blue vs. Jamie Hayter

Orange Cassidy and Kyle O’Reilly vs. Death Riders

Kenny Omega and Jurassic Express vs. Mark Davis, Hechicero, and Josh Alexander

AEW Dynamite/Collision Live 3-Hour Special Segments Announced

Famous Last Words: Kris Statlander and Timeless Toni Storm

Jon Moxley and Darby Allin Special face-to-face

More From LWOS Pro Wrestling

Header photo – AEW – Stay tuned to the Last Word on Pro Wrestling for more on the AEW Dynamite/Collision preview and other stories from around the world of wrestling, as they develop. You can always count on LWOPW to be on top of the major news in the wrestling world.
