Dominik is the current WWE Intercontinental Champion, as well as the AAA Mega Champion. Interestingly enough, Cena has never won the Intercontinental Title in his WWE career. It\u2019s the only thing he needs to achieve Grand Slam status in WWE.<\/p>\n
Some weeks back, during an appearance on the Rap On Wrestling<\/a> podcast, Dominik Mysterio even challenged Cena to come and get the IC Title from him if he really wants to become a Grand Slam Champion.<\/p>\n \u201cI mean, he can try, and what\u2019s that thing he says? If you want some, come get some. You know what? John, you know where I\u2019m at. If you want to come finish your Grand Slam quest, these little side quests you\u2019re on, I\u2019m here all day. Every Monday, you know where I\u2019ll be.\u201d (H\/T Fightful<\/a>)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n One can argue that, at this point in his career, Grand Slam status doesn\u2019t mean much for John Cena, and they\u2019re right. But a match against Mysterio would still be a good idea. Dominik is young and has the potential to become a WWE Champion in the future. In Cena\u2019s last few matches, he\u2019s only worked against established stars. If he ends up facing Mysterio, even if he goes over him, it\u2019d still give Dirty Dom the rub from a legend.<\/p>\n There are multiple ways WWE can do a match between them. It doesn\u2019t even have to be a retirement match between these two. They can just do a regular match and have someone interfere (it could even be Cena\u2019s final opponent) and give Cena the loss.<\/p>\n Dom being Dom, everyone knows that if he gets even a technical victory against The Cenation Leader, he\u2019ll use it for the bragging rights.<\/p>\n For now, Cena is focused on his upcoming match against AJ Styles at the Crown Jewel PLE.
