As much as some things remain the same, others have changed.

Case in point, Jamie Hatyer vs. Julia Hart 3. Mirroring their last two contests beyond their contrasting attire and gimmicks from earlier this year, Hatyer is once again rebounding from injury. This is Hayter’s first singles match since Double or Nothing. Their earlier series allowed Hayter to find form and confidence in the ring after a long hiatus.

What’s changed is that Julia Hart now has sisters. The Triangle of Madness could get involved. An eventual singles contest between Hayter and Thekla looms. Differently, compared to January, the AEW’s women’s division is a more intricate, chaotic web of conflict and issues.

Speaking of the division, Kris Statlander got her spotlight on Dynamite. Maybe we’ll hear from the former champion, “Timeless” Toni Storm. Perhaps further news on how the first AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champions will be decided.

Speaking of words… Eddie Kingston might have a mouthful.

Well, they’re packed pretty tight in here tonight.

AEW Collision Matches Announced (9/27/25):

Jamie Hayter vs. Julia Hart

Hook and Eddie Kingston vs. Big Bill and Bryan Keith

Max Caster and Anthony Bowens vs. Swirl

TNT Championship Open Challenge: Kyle Fletcher vs. Komander

The Acclaimed Have Re-Arrived?

It’s interesting how the graphic reads Max Caster and Anthony Bowens rather than The Acclaimed. It reflects that this isn’t a full or happy reunion. The beef between the former AEW World Tag Team and Trios Champions is unresolved. AEW coach Jerry Lynn thinks it can be, and that while they are separate, they will remain incomplete.

Some fans are rushing to conclusions. Some expect a reunion. Others, a double turn where the Best Wrestler Alive and the Pride of Pro Wrestling switch alignments. Yet don’t skip or underestimate the journey. The potential chemistry between Bowen and Caster. Teases either way. Maybe even the classic rap intro returns for one more night.

Likewise, don’t overlook Swirl. Christian Blake and Lee Johnson have been flies in many wrestlers’ ointment for months. The Vanilla Baby and Johnson may be about to claim an upset win.

TV Return of The Mad King

Fans’ love and hope for Eddie Kingston’s return were not dimmed by the conclusion of the Mad King’s match with Big Bill. Mistakes happen. It wouldn’t be the first time AEW on weekly programming made up for something that went wrong on PPV. As a unit, Big Bill and Bryan Keith have had a good run and chemistry as personalities that make them great foils for Kingston and Hook.

As a first outing for these two hardcase New Yorkers, they are in safe hands. Hook and Big Bill entertained in previous battles with the big man’s physicality and body, offering a rare challenge to the son of the Human Suplex Machine. Is Hook going to be able to get Bill off his huge feet? The fact that two of AEW’s angriest, grumpiest, and expressive wrestlers, Kingston and Keith, might go face-to-face is a potential meme in waiting.

Before or after the match, we may find out what’s next for the pair. Fans are biting at the bit to hear Kingston turn his attentions to the Death Riders and Jon Moxley.
