Asuka, IYO SKY, and Kairi Sane have been an unstoppable trio for years now. Even after the dismissal of Bayley from Damage CTRL and the release of Dakota Kai, the three women have stuck together for the highs and the lows. However, things haven’t been good as of late. There’s been tension between Asuka and SKY, with Sane stuck in the middle. Since Asuka came back from an extended break caused by a knee injury, which led to surgery, she and Sane have reformed the Kabuki Warriors.<\/p>\n

That has led to positive feedback from the fans and also from SKY. She has wanted to help Asuka and Sane as a token of appreciation from the Damage CTRL days. However, Asuka has not taken kindly to a potential reunion due to SKY’s association with Rhea Ripley. For weeks, anger has taken hold of her, and it boiled over after a match against Ripley.<\/p>\n

Asuka Turns Heel on Another Friend<\/h2>\n

The September 22, 2025, episode of WWE Monday Night Raw featured a triumphant celebration for Stephanie Vaquer. She defeated SKY for the Women’s World Championship<\/a> at WWE Wrestlepalooza<\/a> after Naomi vacated it. After the celebration was over, she was confronted by Asuka, Sane, and Ripley. Things got tense quickly, and in true wrestling fashion, the main event was established.<\/p>\n

Asuka faced Ripley in a terrific match, which ended with Ripley rolling up Asuka for the pin. What happened after the match, though, was the real story. Asuka began spraying Ripley with the poison mist, beating her up alongside Sane.<\/p>\n

SKY came to her aid, convincing the duo to stop. The two embraced until Sky was laid out with a spinning back fist to her face. Sane stood there helpless, unable to comprehend what was in front of her. She was then told by Asuka to attack a defenseless SKY, which she obliged in fear of retaliation against herself. She began raining punches down, clearly unhappy with the look on her face. Then, she went up to the top rope to do her signature move, the insane elbow.<\/p>\n

It connected, leaving both Ripley and Sky unable to move. For weeks, Asuka has been consistent towards SKY, executing her plan in front of her shocked and emotional friend. She has taken out someone with whom she shared so many moments over the past couple of years.<\/p>\n

Stablemates with so much history outside of WWE are now no longer friends. She may have gotten what she wanted, but does Sane feel the same? It’ll be interesting to see where their story goes from here now that SKY is truly on her own without the Kabuki Warriors by her side.<\/p>\n
