Last week’s episode shifted the balance between matches, stakes, and storyline development. This could be a new template for the Saturday show.

We’ll find out what stipulation Mark Briscoe chooses for his match with MJF ahead of All Out. Plus, with the newly turned heel Daniel Garcia joining Death Riders and teaming with Jon Moxley, it seems we’re getting more connective tissue between AEW’s two-hour shows.

That doesn’t mean the sickos and grapple enthusiasts will lose out. A tag team rematch from last week will conclude a short Philly-focused storyline when Adam Priest and Tommy Billington get another shot against FTR. Could we be in for an upset? Similarly, fans who haven’t seen the former RevPro Undisputed British Heavyweight Champion, Michael Oku, will be impressed when he takes on the Rainmaker for the AEW Unified Championship.

After her Philly street fight, “Timeless” Toni Storm on commentary might be drunker than a barrel full of monkeys.

AEW Collision Matches Announced

Paragon vs. Death Riders (Jon Moxley and Daniel Garcia)

AEW Unified Championship Eliminator Match: Konosuke Takeshita vs. Anthony Bowens

AEW Unified Championship: Kazuchika Okada (C) vs. Michael Oku

Adam Priest and “Dynamite Kid” Tommy Billington vs. FTR

$500K 5-on-5 Collision- Jamie Hayter, TayJay, Kris Statlander, and Harley Cameron vs. Triangle of Madness, Megan Bayne, and Penelope Ford

AEW Collision Segments Announced

What Will Mark Briscoe Choose?

MJF will appear

What Will Mark Briscoe Choose?

Last Saturday, MJF shocked fans and Mark Briscoe by returning to prevent the Sussex County chicken farmer from claiming a title shot against TNT Champion, Kyle Fletcher. Delaying his honeymoon to sabotage Briscoe and add more fuel to that unlit fire seems fitting for the Devil. In kayfabe, we know MJF doesn’t watch the show, meaning he’s missed the promos where Briscoe threatened to kill him.

Briscoe’s comic persona is shedding. Like other perennial babyfaces before him, who fans have been desperate to see pushed, patience was required. Over the past few months, Briscoe has become one of several men who can fill the gap left by injured main eventers. This is no longer about little kosher pickles or a guaranteed title match contract that Briscoe believed MJF screwed him out of.

MJF, twice, brought up Jay Briscoe and threatened to burn Briscoe before Forbidden Door. It suggests the stipulation could fall into the category of AEW’s violent splendour. Or perhaps Briscoe, if intelligence portrays over anger, gives MJF a taste of his own medicine. A match with stipulations working against the Salt of the Earth. Even puts that guaranteed title shot up for grabs.

Whatever the stipulation, the words and events surrounding these segments could be like striking a match.

$500 5-on-5 Collision

AEW is guilty of repeating formulas to the point of excess.
