John Cena makes his penultimate appearance in his home state of Massachusetts next week. The John Cena WWE Raw appearance will offer a final chance for the 17-time WWE Champion to add some spice to his match with Brock Lesnar at WWE Wrestlepalooza.<\/div>\n

He could also be challenged to a match as an ambitious WWE Raw star looks to boost their profile.<\/div>\n

Let\u2019s unpackage what to expect from John Cena\u2019s next WWE Raw appearance.<\/div>\n

An Unchallenged Promo<\/h3>\n
<\/div>\n
John Cena will not appear on either of the final two WWE SmackDown shows before WWE Wrestlepalooza on September 20.<\/div>\n
This means this will be Cena\u2019s final chance to throw some insults in the direction of his opponent on that show, Brock Lesnar. Lesnar is slated to appear on WWE SmackDown on Friday (September 12), which means WWE might be providing each man the chance to cut an unchallenged promo.<\/div>\n

Sounds ok. But there are more exciting things we can hope for from Cena on WWE Raw.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

A Brawl With The Beast<\/h3>\n

On the flip side, Lesnar might use his TV time on Friday to let Cena know he\u2019ll be paying him a visit on WWE Raw. Lesnar has left Cena lying on the canvas multiple times since his return at WWE SummerSlam.<\/div>\n

This could be a chance for Cena to finally get one over \u201cThe Beast\u201d. But we can all wait until Wrestlepalooza for Cena vs. Lesnar. On WWE Raw, something much more fun could happen.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Cena WWE Raw Impromptu Match<\/h3>\n
<\/div>\n
But let\u2019s be honest. What we all want is an impromptu match. Cena\u2019s entire Retirement Tour has centered on big matches, built over a few weeks, culminating at a premium live event. The heel Cena is long gone and it’s not time for some pure entertainment.<\/div>\n

On WWE SmackDown in Chicago, all that changed. Sami Zayn issued an instant challenge to Cena<\/a>, and we got perhaps the best TV match of the year. Cena went to the well of his former opponents to add to his five moves of doom. Edge\u2019s Spear, CM Punk\u2019s GTS, and Kurt Angle\u2019s Angle Slam were all performed by Cena. It gave the match a unique, fresh, and fun feel.<\/div>\n

Cena\u2019s PLE appearances and his two WWE Raw appearances on November 10 and 17 will almost certainly involve carefully built matches. Perhaps one of these could include a final showdown with “The Final Boss” The Rock.\u00a0<\/a><\/div>\n

Monday’s WWE Raw in Springfield offers the last chance for WWE to redo what it did in Chicago and give us a fun, impromptu bout. There are a couple of perfect candidates for this match.<\/div>\n

Cena Hits A Frogsplash<\/h3>\n

With WWE Wrestlepalooza just five days away, when WWE Raw takes place, it is a safe bet that nobody on that card will challenge Cena.<\/div>\n

Rob Van Dam will not fight Cena on WWE Raw after the ECW legend revealed a planned match between the two was scrapped<\/a> after RVD picked up an injury.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Cena paid homage to AJ Styles by hitting his Styles Clash on Logan Paul at WWE Clash in Paris. But Styles could choose to \u2018do a Sami Zayn\u2019 and challenge Cena to a match on WWE Raw. Styles narrowly missed out on winning the Intercontinental Championship two weeks ago. Last week, he put on a superb match with El Grande Americano.<\/div>\n

Styles has proved he is still in his prime. Throwing Styles and Cena together one last time would be excellent. But it could be the holder of the IC Title that looks to make a name for themselves against Cena.<\/div>\n

Dominik Mysterio will be fresh off competing for the AAA Mega Championship and might have two titles to offer Cena in return for the star-making match. Mysterio is so fun to root against that Cena vs. Mysterio would be a really fun Face vs. Heel TV match.<\/div>\n

Either way, with the match with RVD off the books, let\u2019s hope Cena attempts a Five-Star Frogsplash on any potential surprise opponents.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
