CM Punk had the backup of all backups in Chicago, Illinois. Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins was in attendance to see how Punk would retaliate, after getting screwed at WWE Clash in Paris, and getting slapped around on WWE Monday Night Raw by “The Man.” After a heated verbal exchange on this week’s WWE SmackDown<\/a>, Punk had enough, saying that he could’ve called in a lot of favors to the likes of Bayley, Rhea Ripley, and even his owns sisters. Punk said he did not want things to escalate to this level, but he was pushed too far. In the Allstate Arena, the words “Light It Up” would come out of the speakers, signaling the return of AJ Lee.<\/p>\n

In front of an ecstatic Chicago arena, AJ Lee would skip to the ring in vintage fashion, sizing up Becky Lynch by circling the ring. When AJ finally entered the ring, all hell broke loose, firing off punches to the face of the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion. After a devastating Lou Thesz Press, AJ Lee would put the exclamation mark, licking her palm, and slapping Becky Lynch flush in the face, kicking her out of the ring.<\/p>\n

In a fantastic moment, 10 years in the making, CM Punk and AJ Lee would share an embrace to end WWE SmackDown, leaving Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch thinking what they could’ve done to avoid all this. WWE Universe, we are in for a collision course, and it’s bound to happen sooner rather than later.<\/p>\n

The last time we saw AJ Lee, she won her surprise final match in WWE, tagging with Paige, also known as Saraya, at WWE WrestleMania 31, beating The Bella Twins in a stellar tag team match, before choosing to retire the night after the “Showcase of the Immortals.” It looks like AJ Lee has some unfinished business, and her and her husband CM Punk has their eyes set on the “power couple of WWE.”<\/p>\n
