The champion, Tony Clash, was defending against challenger Kainen Bek.

Kainen Bek comes weighing in at 425lbs. He utilizes his size and power to his advantage in the ring, making it difficult for his opponents to defeat him. Bek began in SNW about two to three years ago as a bodyguard and quickly transitioned to an in-ring performer.

At Art of Survival, he challenged Tony Clash to his Apex Championship, as he feels like it is his “by right”. When asked what winning the Apex Championship means to Bek, he had said that it means,

“the spread of my influence, more people will see me and come to me with their desires. Perhaps we can make a deal.”

Despite being opponents, there does seem to be a mutual respect between the two. Bek had said about Clash, “He has years of talent, I can’t deny that. But all the talent in the world can’t help you when you’re too scared to face what’s in front of you, and I am what’s in front of him now.”

Clash acknowledged Bek as a great in-ring competitor and is aware that he is going to have to be quick on his feet in the match to try to get the advantage. Tony Clash has been the champion for the last three months, but his first Apex Championship reign was 13 months.

Clash said that being champion,

“means I’m doing my job, it means I’m entertaining, means I’m doing what I need to do to get the people going, means I’m marketable. So it’s a big show of respect for me to show like, ‘wow, you know, we have faith in you, that you can hold this with pride. I want to put you on the posters, I trust you; you look apart, you act apart. You’re the guy.’ That’s how I feel.”

Tony Clash retained his championship against Kainen Bek at Art of Survival.
