SuperNova Wrestling (SNW) recently held their event Art of Survival on August 30th. It was a special night as the event was held in Lynn, Massachusetts, for the first time in 11 years.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The night was filled with championship matches and preparations for the Zarba Tournament finals, which will crown a new SNW TV Champion. Tensions were high as we also saw the Gemini Championships and the Apex Championship get defended.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Zarba Cup Semi Finals<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Zarba Cup Tournament continues<\/a> as SNW looks to crown a new TV Champion. The last of the Semi-Finals took place at Art of Survival. The matches being Brother Bedlam vs. Billy Avery, and Frank Bones vs. Brew Vallon.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Both were great matches as the competitors fought for their chance to get the championship. Frank Bones and Brew Vallon kicked off the night in a tremendous back-and-forth match-up. During the match, the referee would assist Frank Bones until another referee arrived. However, due to this distraction, Bones was able to pick up the victory and advance to the finals.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Later in the night, Brother Bedlam and Billy Avery battled it out in the ring. They had the sold-out crowd roaring for their match. The two know each other well in the ring, as they were even brought up by some of the same trainers.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Even though The Morningstar tried to aid Bedlam in the match, Avery ultimately secured the victory. Being from the North Shore made the triumph more meaningful as the event was close to home. He will now advance to the finals, which will also be held in Lynn, Massachusetts.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Team Shock vs. Team Vortex<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Four men from each brand, Shock and Vortex,<\/a> battled in the ring in an eight-man survival tag team match. In the match, if you are pinned, you are eliminated; the last person standing in the ring is the winner.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Team Shock consisted of \u201cThe Wild Hound\u201d Johnny Canine, Rase Banon, and Ares Perez, and they faced The Black Tiger, Corey Fisher, and The Morningstar of Team Vortex. Each talent had the opportunity to showcase why they were chosen to compete for their brand. It was also the debut of Rase Banon, The MorningStar, and Corey Fisher in SNW.<\/span><\/p>\n

MorningStar aided in the elimination of his teammate, the Black Tiger, once he turned on him in the middle of the match. It left Morningstar and Rase Banon as the last two in the ring. With the help of Brother Bedlam, The Morningstar picked up his first SNW victory.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Before the night began, I asked The MorningStar what he thought his biggest challenge might be going into this survival match. He had responded:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not too familiar with the other people that I\u2019m paired up with, but I\u2019m also not familiar with the people I\u2019m against. That is actually pretty interesting to me because I\u2019m always able to make a plan in my head to calculate what I\u2019m going to do. But since I don\u2019t really know much about them, I just have to figure it out on the go.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The MorningStar was clearly able to overcome these obstacles and make a memorable SNW debut. He is looking to take over the promotion with Brother Bedlam.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Gemini Tag Team Championship<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Gemini Tag Team Championships were being defended by the C.I.A. members, Frank Bones and Richie Mac, against the Powerful Mob, consisting of Ken Powers and Vincenzo Giordano.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

One may think that the CIA was at a disadvantage since this was the second match that Frank Bones competed in that night. However, they almost always seem to get the advantage by having their own referee. Once again, because of the referee being on the side of the CIA, it was overlooked when Bones was tapping out. Bones and Mac quickly used that opportunity to turn the match around and end it. <\/span>Frank Bones and Richie Mac picked up the victory, retaining the Gemini Tag Team Championships. <\/span><\/p>\n
