For weeks now, AJ Styles has been after Dominik Mysterio and the WWE Intercontinental Championship. They were originally going to fight at Crown Jewel, but due to an injury to Mysterio, the match got cancelled. Not willing to wait, he desperately pleaded for Mysterio to be cleared. He finally got the match after he dressed up as numerous arena staff members in order to get cleared by medical.<\/p>\n

On Night 2 of SummerSlam, Mysterio defeated him and kept the Intercontinental Championship. For most people, that would be the end of the feud. However, Styles hasn’t stopped wrecking Mysterio’s plans, with this week not being any different<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Styles Continues to Cause Chaos in Mysterio’s Wrestling Life<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Since SummerSlam, Mysterio hasn’t been thinking about Styles at all. He’s been after the AAA Mega Championship, currently held by El Hijo del Vikingo. He competed in a fatal four-way match alongside Dragon Lee and El Grande Americano at TripleMania XXXIII.<\/p>\n

Late in the match, Mysterio and Vikingo were battling it out alone. Mysterio hit the frog splash, hoping for the pin. But a mysterious figure stopped the count, later revealing himself as Styles. On the August 25, 2025, episode of Monday Night Raw, Styles kept his one-sided attack on Mysterio going during Dragon Lee and JD McDonagh’s match.<\/p>\n

As Lee was gaining momentum, Mysterio came out to help his Judgment Day faction mate, grabbing onto Lee’s legs to trip him up. But Styles came out right after, slamming him into the ring post before forcing him to retreat. It’s clear from his actions that Styles isn’t done with Mysterio at all and wants another shot at getting the Intercontinental Championship.<\/p>\n

He’s getting some good news, as Adam Pearce confirmed a SummerSlam rematch on next week’s Monday Night Raw in Paris. If Mysterio isn’t careful, he could lose the Intercontinental Championship next week to a very determined and hungry Styles.<\/p>\n
