With impressive physiques, stuntman-level spots, and microphone swagger in abundance, it’s no wonder that Hollywood has often looked to professional wrestling for its next big star.<\/p>\n

The likes of Hulk Hogan, Andre The Giant, and ‘Rowdy’ Roddy Piper headlined huge Hollywood productions in the ’80s and ’90s. Meanwhile, Attitude and Ruthless Aggression Era icons John Cena<\/a>, The Rock, and Batista continue to court high acclaim and even higher box office numbers.<\/p>\n

Hollywood and wrestling’s love affair doesn’t look set to conclude either; Becky Lynch and MJF just popped up in ‘Happy Gilmore 2’,<\/a> while Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, and NJPW star Hirooki Goto<\/a>\u00a0are set to trade fists in the new ‘Street Fighter’ film next year.<\/p>\n

In celebration of wrestling’s legacy of success in Tinseltown, The Hollywood Reporter named its 10 best wrestlers-turned-actors.<\/a> And while it reminded wrestling fans of some nostalgic gems (Jesse Ventura in ‘Predator’, anyone?), it ruffled the feathers of a two-time WWE Champion.<\/p>\n

Sadly, there wasn’t a place on The Hollywood Reporter’s glittering list of wrestling and acting royalty for The Miz. But the two-time Grand Slam Champion wasn’t going to let that snub go quietly.<\/p>\n

“Ummm\u2026did you not see Marine 3,4,5, and 6,” commented Miz on The Hollywood Reporter’s Instagram page.<\/a><\/p>\n

In case you’d forgotten, The Miz did indeed pick up ‘The Marine’ mantel from John Cena and Ted DiBiase Jr., who starred in the first and second installments of the action franchise, respectively. While The Miz’s starring role in four ‘Marine’ movies didn’t translate to A-list status, his extensive television resume justifies his rebuke to the THR rankings.<\/p>\n

The Miz has had guest roles in long-running shows ‘Supernatural’ and ‘Psych’, as well as hosting a number of game shows and starring in his own reality program, ‘Miz & Mrs.’, with his wife and former WWE Divas Champion Maryse.<\/p>\n

So, The Hollywood Reporter’s editorial team may not have seen the third, fourth, fifth, or even sixth installments of ‘The Marine’, but The Miz has made it pretty difficult to miss him on television screens over the last two decades.<\/p>\n
