EVIL defeated Yota Tsuji, and Takeshita eliminated reigning tournament winner Zack Sabre Jr. to advance.

House of Torture’s head honcho used the same tactic he had for all his tournament matches to beat Tsuji: the number’s game. While Tsuji did have help in the form of Daiki Nagai and Shingo Takagi, EVIL still managed to pull out the victory, eliminating last year’s finalist. On the other hand, EVIL is wrestling in the G1 final for the first time in his 10th consecutive participation.

In the main event, Takeshita avenged his previous loss against Sabre on day eight to guarantee a new winner for this year’s tournament. He was able to fight through, even with a beat-up arm and knee, to march on to his first G1 final in only his second campaign. Meanwhile, ZSJ suffered only his third loss of his tournament run after securing a bye to the semis by topping the B Block.

King of Darkness and The Alpha: G1 Climax 35 Final Preview

Tomorrow will be the conclusion of the G1’s 35th edition, and we will see two first-time finalists duking it out for the first time as well.
