He’s joined by the two Brons and Paul Heyman as the crowd serenade the new champ to the ring. Rollins soaks in the cheers as he hugs his mates. As the music stopped however, the signing turned into CM Punk chants much to Rollins’ chagrin. Heyman with the mic got things started as he called himself the GOAT. He’s not just the greatest but he’s also the humble oracle. Humbled by the fact that he’s in the presence of the future of the company in Bron Breakker, humbled that he stands in the presence of the ‘tribal thief’, the owner of the ‘shoelafala’ Bronson Reed. Heyman says at this point he’d be introducing the world to the OTC but Roman Reigns hasn’t been champ in over a year and a half. He could be standing there introducing the best in the world but Punk’s championship reign didn’t even last long enough for sideplates. Punk was celebrating the fans as he thought he’d be married to the title forever. But Rollins crashed the wedding and stole the honeymoon. So, he’ll make a proper introduction to the “reigning, defending, undisputed heavyweight champion of the world, Seth freakin’ Rollins.” More boos intermixed with singing as Rollins takes the mic.

Rollins says shame on Brooklyn, shame on every single person who turned their back on him after he won the main event of WrestleMania. Shame on everyone who taunted him with chants of ‘CM Punk’ and chants of ‘OTC.’ Rollins says never ever doubt him again. Roman isn’t champ, Punk isn’t champ, but he is. Shame on everyone who turned their back on him. He’s been a marked man for months so shame on the crowd, those at home, and everyone in the locker room. They made it their mission to stop him from successfully cashing in his contract. Everyone back there thinks they are so smart, so clever but he always has a plan B. This plan B was top secret. He only told his wife and his oracle. Together they achieved what they set out to achieve, absolute power. Rollins said there is nobody who can stop us. This is the past, present, and future. This is the way forward. This is the vision.

Cue someone to stop them, LA Knight. The crowd cheered for Knight as he congratulated Rollins, Heyman, and the morons. Knight says he’s not here for a fight, just here to answer some questions. Knight says Rollins had to fake an injury when he had the case, not to get the title, but to get out of their match. Knight wanted to take his dignity and to hurt him but Rollins faked an injury so he didn’t get his chance. Knight said Rollins faked the injury but he still ate a BFT and that’s where things get interesting. Rollins is a visionary with no vision. Knight watched SummerSlam and saw what happened. He knew he had to get to Brooklyn to remind Rollins he was the last one to beat him and he’ll be the next one to beat him. The difference is he’s got ammunition now because not only can he hurt Rollins but he’ll also take the title off of him as well.

Rollins says Knight has guts to make the challenge, but Rollins has guts too. Rollins hypes the crowd up by teasing a title match with Knight tonight but of course, Rollins says no…However, it’s not over there. Adam Pearce hits the scene and says normally he wouldn’t make a match with zero promotion. However, normally a star wouldn’t have their medical team lie to WWE’s medical team. Normally a champ wouldn’t lie to the GM or to the WWE Universe. So to hell with normal. Tonight, it’s LA Knight vs Seth Rollins for the world title. Pearce says since Rollins stole a moment from the people at SummerSlam, he’s going to steal something from him by banning the Brons from ringside.

Judgment Day, LwO, and AJ Styles

Dominik Mysterio is celebrating his 20th anniversary when Judgment Day encounters LwO backstage. Mysterio calls himself the king of the luchadores before accepting a match request from Dragon Lee for tonight. AJ Styles shows up as Finn Balor steps up to protect him. Styles says what Mysterio did was clever but he’s still coming after the title. As long as Mysterio has it, he’s coming after him. One day, he’s going to run out of tricks so time’s running out because Styles is one of the best.

Sheamus vs Rusev III

As soon as the bell rang these two rivals went at it with Rusev attacking Sheamus into the corner. The two continued to brawl as Rusev got Sheamus to the mat. More rights from both men and stiff shots to the body. Sheamus takes a brief advantage, sending Rusev onto the floor as the crowd rally behind him. Rusev with a kick to the midsection and then throws Sheamus into the barricade. Both men back in the ring as Sheamus with the boots to Rusev before Rusev with a suplex. Kick by Rusev to drop Sheamus. Rusev with uppercuts but Sheamus responds. Yay/boo hits as Rusev powers Sheamus to the mat. Rusev to the top rope but Sheamus with huge hits to the chest. Sheamus follows him up and gets Rusev on his shoulders. White Noise from the second rope as we go to commercial.

Back in the ring, Rusev is brutalizing Sheamus as Sheamus begs him on. Kicks to the chest but Sheamus keeps asking for more. Rusev goes for another but Sheamus catches him and hits the Irish curse backbreaker. Sheamus punches Rusev through the ropes but then pulls him back from the apron to set up for the 10 beats. Rusev scouts it though and hangs Sheamus over the top rope. Rusev ducks a Brogue but it allows Sheamus to set up for the 10 beats again. Rusev powers out however and shoves Sheamus into the post. Rusev stalks on the outside but Sheamus catches him and slams him back first into the announce table. Sheamus breaks the count before trying to drag Rusev back into the ring. Rusev sends Sheamus into the ring steps but once again Sheamus gets Rusev up and throws him over the barricade. Rusev counters however, grabbing Sheamus from behind and hitting his own 10 beats. Well, a few beats. Sheamus counters and does his thing before the ref rings the bell. It’s a double count out.

Sheamus pulls Rusev back into the ring area as officials arrive to break up Rusev and Sheamus. Sheamus eats the steel steps as Rusev gets the Sheilleagh. Before he can attack with it however, Sheamus drops him and the two fight through the officials trying to separate them. The two continue to break free of the officials to batter each other. “Let them fight” chants ring out as we cut backstage.

New Day, Grayson Waller, and Penta

A clip from earlier in the day is shown of New Day, still in black, still mourning the death of the tag team division. Grayson Waller shows up to wonder why New Day didn’t have his back. He says he knows they were in the back letting him learn his own lesson and he appreciates that veteran leadership. Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods say they aren’t in the right state of mind to fight anyone right now, especially not Sheamus. Waller says he’ll handle it. He interrupts Penta and Pearce saying New Day deserves their rematch. Pearce says New Day can have a match when they earn it. And speaking of earning it, it’s Penta vs Waller tonight.

Grayson Waller vs Penta

Penta soaks in the crowd before the two circle and lock up. Waller taunts as the two lock up again. Waller with the headlock before Penta does the same. Penta scouts Waller and hits him with the hurricanrana to send Waller out of the ring. Before Penta can continue however, New Day’s music hits and our resident mourners make their way to the ring.

New Day walk right past Waller who heads back into the ring and eats a kick from Penta. And another. Penta with Waller in the corner and hits the huge stomp before going for a cover. Waller kicks out. Back in the ring, Waller with a huge right before he gets Penta up with a sit out powerbomb. Waller to the second rope but he misses the elbow allowing Penta to take advantage with a huge kick. Waller returns favor. The two exchange kicks and both men are down on the mat. Waller tries to get creative through the ropes but Penta with a kick to catch him before hitting the Mexican destroyer for the win.

Kofi Kingston confronts Penta after the match as he and Xavier Woods tend to Grayson Waller. Penta pushes Woods into Kingston and Waller before donning Woods’ ridiculous oversized hat and throwing it at New Day like a frisbee. Penta with the suicide dive to take out New Day.

Charlotte and Alexa; Sheamus and Rusev

We see Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss walking backstage before cameras turn to Sheamus and Rusev who are still fighting backstage.

Naomi’s Interrupted Promo

With the show in commercial, Naomi begins cutting a promo from the ramp. She says it’s time for an honest conversation. She couldn’t wait to leave New Jersey because it was so whack. She thought Brooklyn was going to be better but she left a bad situation and came into a worse one. New York stinks. There’s trash everywhere, construction, can’t walk outside with all the cranes. She knows why people are trying to move to her state, to come to Florida. She says don’t come there and raise rent. Stay where the trash is at. Naomi says it’s time to talk about her still as women’s world champion. She cackles. She says she told everyone she was keeping the division on notice. Next on her list is Stephanie Velcro…

Back to show, but first, a recap of what happened after last night’s main event. Michael Cole says he talked to Nick Khan and Paul Levesque about Lesnar’s return. They reached out to Lesnar a few weeks ago and said it was time for him to come home. Lesnar said let’s do it. Bliss teases her to say the ‘F word.’ Bliss says as long as they have the titles, she’s stuck with her. Flair runs down all of her title reigns and Bliss does the same but Flair says it doesn’t matter.

The two are interrupted by the former champs as Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez make their way to the ring. Rodriguez says no one would want to be friends with Flair and no one cares about their friendship. Perez says the only thing that matters is bringing their gold back to the Judgment Day. Rodriguez says she understands they may not get a rematch but the two of them came out to take their titles back. Flair and Bliss say they will put the titles on the line tonight but Pearce comes out and says they need to take a breath. But that won’t be tonight…well, the match might not be but it seems Lynch’s next challenger is here.

Nikki Bella interrupts Lynch and says Lynch really is one of the greatest of all-time. She says she’s so proud of all of her accomplishments. When she first met her, she had so much potential and the women’s division was in such great hands. That’s why Bella could leave. But Lynch turned out to be such a disappointment. Instead of raising the locker room up, she’s handcuffing them. She came back to test herself against the next generation but she’s wondering why Lynch came back. Lynch and Bella joke about how Lynch is in Happy Gilmore 2 and she was the one who got Bella cut from the movie. Bella says she’s not buying it. She’s a liar just like her husband. The difference is everyone bought Rollins’s lies but no one is buying Lynch’s. Bella sees right through her. She’s still the same insecure little girl she was when she came into the division. Lynch says her and her “hot husband” are the greatest wrestling couple of all-time. At one point that would have been her and her…oh wait, you can’t see him anymore. Ouch. Crowd loving it. “Holy shit” chant. Lynch says Bella needs to remember that when she came up, she came up to combat Bella’s era. In this era, why doesn’t Lynch put her title on the line and face Bella one-on-one. Or is she too scared like she was before?
