As real life family members, they had a closeness only felt by a few others in WWE. However, as with real family, they didn’t always see eye to eye with each other.

Fatu was rising up the ranks in popularity, and Sikoa didn’t like that. Everything came to a head at Money in the Bank, when Fatu cost Sikoa a championship match at SummerSlam. However, Sikoa got the last laugh and took the United States Championship away from Fatu at Night of Champions.

It seemed like their feud was over, but it was just beginning. After weeks of confrontation, it was announced that a rematch would take place at SummerSlam inside a steel cage. This decision was a perfect one given their current respective storylines on SmackDown.

Jacob Fatu Has a Chance to Get His Revenge on Solo Sikoa

The past couple of months have been very traumatic for Fatu. He found out his real-life cousin was making fun of him and going against his wishes. Then, he lost his United States championship to someone he didn’t know.

Last week, he got framed for a car crash that didn’t involve him at all. It seems like Sikoa is deliberately weakening Fatu before their SummerSlam match. But a steel cage match allows for a one-on-one battle inside an enclosed space.

Fatu can do whatever he wants to Sikoa inside the cage. He can slam him into the cage, inflicting harm on him. Climbing on top of the cage and jumping down is a great move to weaken your opponent.

There are a lot of things that Fatu can do to ensure he walks out as United States Champion once again.

A Steel Cage Match Means No Outside Interference

The Bloodline has been a central part of SmackDown for many years. Even though there have been many incarnations, their actions have stayed the same. New people getting added ensures that they win matches and keep their championships with them.

The latest group, My Family Tree, is the most credentialed out of all of them. Before heading to WWE, JC Mateo, Talla Tonga, and Tonga Loa spent years in New Japan Pro Wrestling. They won many championships in Japan and honed their craft as wrestlers.

When Tama Tonga gets back from injury, that will add even more experience to the group. A steel cage match means their signature tactics aren’t going to work. It’ll only be Fatu and Sikoa deciding the ending of the match.

Sikoa won’t have his family to give him an advantage. If he retains, it means that he put in all of the work himself.

Who Will Walk Out of SummerSlam as Champion?

A regular match between Fatu and Sikoa would’ve been predictable. My Family Tree would’ve helped Sikoa somehow in order to retain his championship. They do his bidding in order to help him win.

However, the added stipulation of a steel cage makes things a lot more complicated. It’s no longer a clear victory for Sikoa. He’ll be locked inside the cage against someone who rightfully wants to make him pay for what he’s done over the past couple of months.

There is a much larger chance now that Fatu will regain his championship than there was before Friday’s announcement. But that still doesn’t mean that will happen. The two men are guaranteed to try their hardest not to let the other one win.

Fatu and Sikoa will have to put in the work to claim the United States Championship inside the steel cage.

More From LWOS Pro Wrestling

Header photo – WWE – Stay tuned to the Last Word on Pro Wrestling for more on Jacob Fatu, Solo Sikoa, WWE SummerSlam, and other stories from around the world of wrestling, as they develop.
