On this week’s WWE SmackDown<\/a>, Cody Rhodes was clearly in the zone for his contract signing for WWE SummerSlam<\/a> against John Cena for the Undisputed WWE Championship. So much so, Rhodes would immediately sign the contract before his entrance music faded out. Cody Rhodes would make it known that it’ll be a long road back to the Undisputed WWE Championship, but he’s more than up for the challenge.<\/p>\n

John Cena would come out next, with everyone anticipating he’d sign the contract and make it official. Unfortunately, Cena would have excuses. He has a movie coming up with Netflix, and it was decided that it would be in everyone’s best interest if he sticks to that commitment and does not risk injury.<\/p>\n

Cena was well aware that Rhodes earned this opportunity<\/a>, and he had no intentions of taking it away. But it will not happen at SummerSlam. John would exit the ring, and Cody would come after him. Rhodes was livid, hitting Cena with the Undisputed WWE Title and executing a Splash on top of Cena through a table.<\/p>\n

Cody Rhodes would “help” John Cena sign his contract before announcing that this wouldn’t just be a standard one-on-one for the championship, but a down-and-dirty Street Fight.<\/p>\n

SmackDown ended on a high note after this announcement, but what do you think about this massive stipulation for WWE SummerSlam?<\/p>\n
