We are over halfway through 2025, meaning that we are even closer to the retirement of the legend, John Cena. On this WWE retirement tour, he announced 36 dates and has about 15 dates left. On this tour, we have seen Cena compete against the likes of Randy Orton, CM Punk, and Cody Rhodes, but who else can we see? Will we see more matches against legends, or will we see some upcoming stars get their chance to face Cena?<\/span><\/p>\n

Gunther<\/h2>\n

Ever since Gunther\u2019s debut on the main roster, he has been one of the top guys in the company. He has had notable World Heavyweight Championship reigns<\/a>, which have received high praise, despite his heel persona.<\/span><\/p>\n

The fans adore Gunther\u2019s wrestling style and his character. Although he is very experienced in the ring, he is still relatively new to the main roster compared to some of the other stars. Cena and Gunther had never had the opportunity to cross paths with one another, but is now the time?<\/span><\/p>\n

A match between Gunther and John Cena would be a never-before-seen spectacle. The idea of this match is so large that it is being rumored to be Cena\u2019s final match in December. While it is still too soon to assume, we can hope that at some point during this tour, these two can stand across the squared circle from one another.<\/span><\/p>\n

Roman Reigns<\/h2>\n

This past Monday Night on Raw, Roman Reigns made his return<\/a> to the WWE. His last appearance with the company was at WrestleMania 41 when Paul Heyman turned on him and aligned with Seth Rollins.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

While Reigns may have some other plans on his plate right now, it would be interesting to see these two have one more battle against one another. The last time they had a singles match against one another was back at SummerSlam 2021, where Reigns defeated Cena for the Universal Championship.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Since 2021, Reigns has grown immensely as a character and in the ring. He has grown to become one of the company’s top faces. It would be interesting to see them have a match, considering the difference in circumstances. This time Cena is the heel, and Heyman isn\u2019t with Reigns. Because of that, this match can unfold differently than what we have seen in the past.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
