There are six matches announced, showing the depth that the women’s division has.

Four championship matches and two intriguing undercard contests round out what should be one of the best nights of wrestling this year. There is so much on the line Sunday that it is hard to pick who will be walking away victorious. Not one wrestler can afford to be staring up at the lights at Evolution, but as we all know, there has to be a loser. As hard as it will be to determine the winners, it will be fun talking through the process. Here are the predictions for Evolution.

Jade Cargill vs Naomi (No Holds Barred Match)

Jade Cargill and Naomi have been on a collision course ever since the Elimination Chamber PLE. Cargill has been on a mission to vanquish the woman who put her on the shelf, and Evolution will be a huge step in that direction. WWE has thrown away the niceties and gone straight for the jugular with a No Holds Barred gimmick.

The furious nature of a No Holds Barred gimmick will make this match a fun one to watch. Both women have an intense nature about their character, and it will allow them to stoop to every level possible to get over the other. This will be the opening salvo to what should be a top-level feud.

With Jade Cargill heading into SummerSlam to face the World Champion, it would lead one to think she is winning here, but the smart money is on Naomi. The heel needs to win to prolong this feud and possibly give Cargill a great first opponent if she were to win the strap at SummerSlam.

Winner: Naomi

No.1 Contenders Battle Royal

Battle Royal’s are always a great time, and this one should be no different. There is a fantastic mix of performers across all three brands, presenting all sorts of great matchups to be had. There is an organized chaos that will be present during the match that makes it a great time to watch. Also, we know there will be some surprise entrants that will get a great pop and create excitement amongst the audience.

With everyone involved in this match, it’s hard to pick a winner, but there are two that jump out. Stephanie Vaquer has been steadily rising on the main roster since her call-up. She is getting great reactions from the crowd and will be entering the main event before too long. This could be her moment, but there is another who has a better shot.

As of right now, Bianca Belair is out with an injury, but she is expected to return soon. Having her surprise everyone by entering the Battle Royal would be the perfect return. It would give her a shot at the title again, and perhaps some redemption against a former friend. Or a showdown with a current one.

Women’s Tag Team Championship Match: Raquel Rodriguez & Roxanne Perez vs Alexa Bliss & Charlotte Flair vs Sol Ruca & Zaria vs The Kabuki Warriors

Thrown together, fatal-four-way matches aren’t usually something that works, but this one will. There hasn’t been much in the way of storytelling with these women, but the representation and star power are going to take care of that. There is a great mix of young stars and veterans that will make this match one of the better tag team matches in women’s history.

The NXT team being thrown into this match can be taken out of the equation. Winning the straps isn’t in the cards for Ruca and Zaria. That leaves us with three teams that have a legitimate shot at taking the Tag Team Championships home with them.

A pairing that has the most intrigue, by far, is the team of Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair. They are an oddball tandem, but they are working well. Bliss and Flair are giving a much-needed boost to the women’s tag team ranks and are achieving the impossible of getting Flair over as a baby face. They would be the feel-good story to win the Tag Team Championships.

Winners: Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss

Women’s Intercontinental Championship Match: Becky Lynch vs Bayley vs Lyra Valkyria

This has been the premier feud of the women’s division since WrestleMania. Becky Lynch’s heel turn was fantastic, and we have seen a marked improvement in the character work from Valkyria. WWE has also done a great job of weaving Bayley back into this story. Working on the animosity between Valkyria and Bayley has been the focal point, and a needed one, considering both women have ill feelings towards Lynch already.

Becky Lynch, Bayley, and Lyra Valkyria could very well put on the match of the year here. Lynch and Valkyria have already produced gold, and the addition of Bayley will only make things better. This match will be everything that we all want it to be, but the winner will be a foregone conclusion.

Lynch heading into Summerslam as the champion is the right call. It will give the mid-card a star-filled match, and Valkyria a chance to win back her championship. Look for Lynch to sneak away the win under dubious circumstances.

Winner: Becky Lynch

NXT Women’s Championship: Jacy Jayne vs Jordynne Grace

There couldn’t be a better matchup for Evolution than Jacy Jane and Jordynne Grace. They are the apex of women’s wrestling in NXT and are great representatives of the brand. They are well matched, and both have a rich history of stepping up when the opportunity calls for it. Well, Sunday is the time that calls for it.

Jordynne Grace has been on the upswing for a while now. She was a dominant force in TNA and had a great show at the Royal Rumble. Once she debuted in NXT, it was a foregone conclusion that she was going to emerge as a World Champion. WWE had been smart to hold off on pulling that trigger too early, but the time is now for them to finish the job. Grace is going to be the face of the women’s division for some time to come, and winning at Evolution will be that springboard.

Winner: Jordynne Grace

WWE Women’s Championship Match: Tiffany Stratton vs Trish Stratus

One of the best parts of the Evolution PLE is that we get to see past stars coming back for another moment in the sun. Trish Stratus was the epitome of that when she accepted the challenge laid down by Tiffany Stratton. It gave us a dream matchup that could have otherwise not been possible.

Trish Stratus taking on Tiffany Stratton is a battle of the blond bombshells. It’s the old guard taking on the new star in a fight to see who is supreme. There shouldn’t be much thought about how good this match will be. Tiffy is at the top of her game, and Trish’s last WWE appearance showed that she still has some gas left in the tank.

Trish Stratus will have a great showing, but it’s Tiffy who will retain the strap. She is the full-time star, and a win over Mrs. Stratusfaction will be a huge feather in the cap of the WWE Championship.

Women’s World Championship Match: Iyo Sky vs Rhea Ripley

This should be the main event of the evening. Not only because it contains two of the biggest stars, but because these two women will put on a heck of a match.

Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky have been linked for months now, and every time they step into the ring, magic happens. At WrestleMania, they stole the show with Bianca Belair, and they are primed to steal the show by themselves at Evolution. The talent and chemistry they share are tremendous, and their styles clash perfectly. This could be a 5-star match.

It’s really hard to pick a winner here, as they would both be great champions and would succeed at Summerslam. As of this moment, it would be a better story for Iyo Sky to go to Summerslam and face Asuka. So let’s throw our hat in the Iyo Sky ring for the time being.

Winner: Iyo Sky

This Sunday, the women of World Wrestling Entertainment are on deck.
