This time, we look at the hip-hop and rap genre and the wrestlers who made music in this field (or the rappers who turned to wrestling). Like the first installment, rap &#8220;characters&#8221;, like <strong>PG-13<\/strong> (Wolfie D &amp; JC Ice), <strong>Slim J<\/strong> or <strong>Elvis Pridemore<\/strong>, are not included on the list.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>SLICK<\/strong><\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_13798\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-13798\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-13798\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2018\/02\/Slick-e1517873576206.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"373\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-13798\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: WWE<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Okay, so we <em>did <\/em>say we wouldn&#8217;t do any one-offs, but we&#8217;re making an exception for the Doctor of Style. Slick&#8217;s song &#8220;Jive Soul Bro&#8221; off of <em><strong>Piledriver<\/strong><\/em> was a solid entry into the sound of 80s old school hip hop. As well as owning and running their own indie promotion, <strong>Juggalo Championship Wrestling (JCW),\u00a0<\/strong>ICP also\u00a0one of only two tag\u00a0teams to work for the original ECW, WWE, WCW and Impact Wrestling (the other being <strong>The Steiner Brothers<\/strong>). While a fun novelty, Savage&#8217;s foray into rap stalled with this album, and he returned for a short run with Impact Wrestling in 2004 before retiring in 2005.<\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=dMbcOC5dS5k<\/p>\n<h3><strong>JOHN CENA<\/strong><\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_13795\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-13795\" style=\"width: 640px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-13795\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2018\/02\/john-cena-1-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-13795\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: WWE<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Now switching to the &#8220;we definitely SHOULD have seen this coming&#8221;, <strong>John Cena<\/strong> took his rapping character, the Doctor of Thuganomics, and teamed up with his cousin, <strong>The Trademarc<\/strong>, to release his debut album, <em><strong>You Can&#8217;t See Me<\/strong><\/em><em>, <\/em>on Columbia Records, debuting at #15 on the Billboard album charts in 2005. In 2007, he went to wrestling school at the age of 45, telling <strong>allhiphop.com<\/strong> that he was &#8220;going to try to take some of John Cena&#8217;s money and get with WWE and do my thing&#8221;.
