One of the indie circuit&#8217;s emerging women&#8217;s stars, <strong>Kiera Hogan<\/strong> was on a lot of people&#8217;s &#8220;watch lists&#8221; for potentially going on to bigger things, be it <strong>NXT, Women of Honor<\/strong>, or elsewhere. But last August <a href=\"http:\/\/squaredcirclesirens.com\/kiera-hogan-signs-with-impact-wrestling\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">it was Impact Wrestling that won the sweepstakes<\/a> for &#8220;The Girl on Fire&#8221;, signing her at the same time as another top indie prospect <strong>Hania The Huntress<\/strong> (who made her debut at the Ottawa tapings last November and has already been released). But there was no sign of Kiera Hogan at all.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_13691\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-13691\" style=\"width: 640px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-13691\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2018\/02\/30524214376_12f9f98def_b-1024x701.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"438\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-13691\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Brian K Photography<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Shortly after Hogan&#8217;s signing, Impact creative director <strong>Jeff Jarrett<\/strong> went on a leave of absence (followed in September with Anthem parting ways with him all together) and a reshuffle of management taking place. It started to look like Kiera Hogan&#8217;s Impact status was on the verge of joining other earlier signings like <strong>Avie Storie<\/strong> (Brandi Lauren), <strong>MJ Jenkins<\/strong> and others, who would be jettisoned as Impact begun it&#8217;s reboot. But the first round of tapings under the co-executive committee featuring <strong>Scott D&#8217;Amore<\/strong> and <strong>Don Callis<\/strong> were quick to rectify the situation, using Hogan extensively at the last round of tapings, including working a program with Knockouts Champion <strong>Laurel Van Ness<\/strong>. She finally made her long awaited television debut last week, in a non-title match, scoring an upset victory. She&#8217;s now been announced at getting a shot at the Knockouts Championship next Thursday on Impact.<\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=O-85RlBhltk<\/p>\n<p>At 23 years old, Kiera Hogan is barely three years into her pro wrestling career, but &#8220;The First Lady of Atlanta&#8221; has been making waves nearly since her 2015 debut with <strong>World Wrestling Alliance 4 (WWA4)<\/strong>. Her stock only rose as her fiery spirit and engaging personality won over fans around the country. In 2017, she won the WSU Spirit Championship, defeating <strong>Su Yung<\/strong>, which she still holds today at almost a year&#8217;s reign.
