Stephanie Vaquer beat Ivy Nile and Liv Morgan for the final spot. She now joins Alexa Bliss, Giulia, Naomi, Rhea Ripley, and Roxanne Perez as participants.

If you look at the field, there’s something particularly intriguing. Alexa Bliss, Naomi, and Rhea Ripley have been on the main roster for years. Giulia, Roxanne Perez, and Stephanie Vaquer concluded their amazing NXT runs not too long ago.

They each captured gold numerous times and had great matches. It seems like the field has been intentionally split between three main roster veterans and three women who just arrived on Raw and SmackDown. Given who’s competing in the match, it looks like the women’s divisions in WWE will never be the same after Saturday.

Bliss, Naomi, and Ripley Represent the Old Guard

Looking at the main roster, there’s a lot of tension between the established and up-and-coming women. Becky Lynch has an intense hatred for Lyra Valkyria. Charlotte Flair still isn’t over her WrestleMania loss against Tiffany Stratton. Liv Morgan is starting to grow suspicious of Roxanne Perez’s intentions with Finn Balor.

All three have been on the main roster for years, which is very important to note. They are starting to get paranoid about being replaced soon. That’s why Bliss, Naomi, and Rhea Ripley are in the hunt for the briefcase.

Bliss and Naomi are looking to remind everyone that they can still be the shining stars of the women’s division. But Ripley is looking for retribution against Iyo Sky for taking her championship from her. They aren’t ready to give up the spotlight, so those three women will try their hardest to win the briefcase.

Giulia, Perez, and Vaquer are Ready to Take Over

For months, people have been waiting for Giulia, Roxanne Perez, and Stephanie Vaquer’s arrivals on the main roster. After great runs in NXT, they’re finally here. With Jordynne Grace rumored to be coming up as well, it’s clear that another women’s revolution is in full effect.

It’s no coincidence that they all qualified for the Money in the Bank ladder match when they made their jump to the main roster. Their NXT resumes speak for themselves. With all three of them being NXT Women’s Champions, their success coming so soon isn’t surprising.

That’s why the veterans are intimidated right now. More call-ups are legitimate winners that won’t be used specifically as jobbers. Rather, they are winning championships and making their case to be the future of WWE.

If any of those three wins the briefcase, it’ll be a new era for the women’s divisions in WWE.

The Present vs. the Future Will Be on Display

This year’s women’s Money in the Bank ladder match will be very fun to watch. Six women will be competing for the Money in the Bank briefcase, with each one having a legitimate shot to win. But they’re not winning it for themselves.

They’re winning it to make a statement about the state of the women’s divisions. Three women are accomplished on the main roster and will prove that they still belong with a win. However, in their way are three women who had tremendous NXT runs that want to show that those runs weren’t a fluke.

This year’s winner will determine whether or not the veterans still have what it takes to win or if a new batch of women will take control. The women’s Money in the Bank ladder match will undoubtedly impact the WWE women’s division as a whole.

More From LWOS Pro Wrestling

Header photo – WWE – Stay tuned to the Last Word on Pro Wrestling for more on WWE Money in the Bank and other stories from around the world of wrestling, as they develop.
