It wasn’t just a normal tag team match between the two teams, as it was for the WWE Tag Team Championship, which has been held by the Street Profits since March 13. This show also saw the return of The Wyatt Sicks.

The Street Profits and Fraxiom gave it their all despite some interference from #DIY and the Motor City Machine Guns. Just as Montez Ford set up From the Heavens to win, the lights went out. When they came back on, The Wyatt Sicks were standing in the ring.

They beat down every tag team around them, even delivering a Sister Abigail to Johnny Gargano. They are coming for the WWE Tag Team Championship. It may seem like an odd fit for some, but there are a lot of reasons why this move makes sense.

The Wyatt Sicks Are Very Familiar with Tag Team Action

Before they became members of The Wyatt Sicks, Dexter Lumis, Erick Rowan, Joe Gacy, and Nikki Cross were all involved in various factions and tag teams throughout WWE. Lumis was with The Way in NXT. Rowan was part of the Bludgeon Brothers tag team with the late Luke Harper.

Gacy was the leader of the Schism, which included the former Grizzled Young Veterans and current NXT General Manager Ava. Cross had a memorable tag team run with Alexa Bliss as WWE Women’s Tag Team champions. Finally, Bo Dallas had a Raw Tag Team Championship run with Curtis Axel.

All five members have immense experience in tag team action, with some winning championships along the way. Putting the Wyatt Sicks in the men’s tag team division will show people how good they are at working together. This will also allow new feuds and many first-time encounters to take place.

The Decision Fits Their Booking Style Perfectly

Ever since they made their entrance on the June 17, 2024 episode of Monday Night Raw, The Wyatt Sicks have captivated many people with their presence and wrestling ability. Since that time, they have feuded with American Made and the former Final Testament.

One thing that’s noticeable is the fact that both factions included tag teams. American Made had the Creed Brothers, while The Final Testament had the Authors of Pain. Despite that, most of their matches were typically six-man or four-on-four mixed matches against the factions.

With that in mind, targeting tag teams would make sense for their return. Now that Candice LeRae has joined #DIY, it would seem another mixed match is on the table, especially since Gargano was hit with Sister Abigail. The Wyatt Sicks returning as a tag team will continue their run without making any severe alterations to their booking.

The SmackDown Men’s Tag Team Division Just Got Stronger

Over the past month, the SmackDown men’s tag team division has undergone a complete transformation. Fraxiom debuted after their amazing showing at NXT Stand & Deliver. JC Mateo joined the Bloodline at Backlash. Now, The Wyatt Sicks have made their presence known in intense fashion.

Having more tag teams on a brand increases the competition. It’s also the first time we have seen the group since early December. With a nearly six-month layoff, they had to do something big in order to recapture the fans’ attention. By attacking the dominant tag teams on SmackDown, they definitely succeeded.

Having the return be on Bray Wyatt’s birthday was a nice decision as well, with the episode ending with Uncle Howdy blowing out the candles on a cake. The Wyatt Sicks just made a great SmackDown men’s tag team division better by showcasing their athleticism and overall wrestling ability.

More From LWOS Pro Wrestling

Header photo – WWE – Stay tuned to the Last Word on Pro Wrestling for more on Wyatt Sicks, WWE SmackDown, and other stories from around the world of wrestling, as they develop.
