With AEW Double or Nothing here, the potential and likelihood for exhilarating and blistering action are high.

A diverse range of bangers and matches? Sure. Moments and matches of the year? Yes. Maybe some surprises.

Could Mariah May return to reunite or seek vengeance on her sapphic lover Mina Shirakawa? After a vicious attack on Storm, Shirakawa isn’t going to play nice. Or could that mysterious spider Easter egg hatch and debut?

Ricochet vs. Mark Briscoe could see a frenetic and violent tribute to Sabu. Tony Khan frequently attended ECW shows and watched Sabu compete. This match could be a surprisingly tear-inducing match-up.

Compared to 2024, this card doesn’t seem as much of a gamble.

How to Watch AEW Double or Nothing

Date: Sunday 25th May
Time: The main broadcast starts at 8 pm ET/5 pm PT.
Watch in the U.S.: Amazon, Fubo, PPV.com, Triller TV, YouTube PPV,
Rest of the World: Amazon, PPV.com, Triller TV, YouTube PPV,

AEW Double or Nothing 2025 Card

Paragon vs. The Don Callis Family

FTR With Stokely Hathaway vs. Daniel Garcia and Nigel McGuinness

Stretcher match: Mark Briscoe vs. Ricochet

AEW World Tag Team Championship: The Hurt Syndicate vs. The Sons of Texas

AEW Continental Championship: Kazuchika Okada © vs. Speedball Mike Bailey

AEW Women’s World Championship: “Timeless” Toni Storm © vs. Mina Shirakawa

2025 Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Cup Tournament Finals: Jamie Hayter vs. Mercedes Mone

2025 Men’s Owen Hart Foundation Cup Tournament Finals: “Hangman” Adam Page vs Will Ospreay

Anarchy in the Arena: Kenny Omega, Swerve Strickland, The Opps, and Willow Nightingale vs. Death Riders and Young Bucks

Owen Hart Foundation Cup Finals

Two huge first-time matches will define the future of AEW’s men’s and women’s divisions. Ascension vs. redemption is great marketing and concise storytelling at its best, summarising both men’s AEW journeys.

Since joining AEW, Will Ospreay has been on the ascent. Last year, I wrote about Will Ospreay’s elevation, and about how the time then was not right to crown in as the AEW World Champion. Is now the best time, or does Ospreay need to suffer like his opponent?

One that undoubtedly could shatter many fans’ ceilings of expectations. Whilst Mercedes Mone vs. Jamie Hayter does not have the same depth and history, this first-time clash will be year-defining.

With Mone receiving her first loss, Hayter’s restoration and reinvention are evolving. A win could make or break Hayter’s return to form and prominence. Yet, a win for Mone provides possibly the biggest star vs. star match for the women’s division at All In.

History is going to be defined.

Anarchy in the Arena

Expanding to six folks per team, the addition of Willow Nightingale and Marina Shafir adds a cherry to women’s main eventing in AEW to proceedings. Always chaotic and entertaining, this year’s Anarchy in the Arena was obvious and signposted since before Spring Break-Thru. However, the predictability doesn’t undermine the unpredictability of this fixture.

Can historic rivals, The Young Bucks and Death Riders, co-exist? With Gabe Kidd not being officially in the match, but likely playing interference as a hired gun, will the Mad King return? These are a few of the tangible narrative strands of what is usually an erratic match, where escalation can feel limitless.

More From LWOS Pro Wrestling

Header photo – AEW – Stay tuned to the Last Word on Pro Wrestling for more on AEW Double or Nothing and other stories from around the world of wrestling, as they develop.
