Banks has been on a roll as the PROGRESS World champion ever since September,when he defeated <strong>Pete<\/strong> <strong>Dunne<\/strong> at the biggest show in the companies history. Now Banks is at the pinnacle of his career,with amazing matches against men that outweigh him considerably and tag team matches alike at a crazy pace and schedule. \u201cThe Kiwi Buzzsaw\u201d has defended his World championship\u00a0four times in the past\u00a0eight weeks and twice in the month of January, more than enough reason to make Banks the wrestler of January.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_13478\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-13478\" style=\"width: 391px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-13478\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2018\/01\/23905228_1678266028860441_6620205473240100920_n-e1517415323345.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"391\" height=\"600\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-13478\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: James Musselwhite \/ Portrait of a Wrestler \/ portraitofawrestler.com<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Thus starts a new monthly roundtable with all the writers, highlighting the best overall performer of every month, so feedback is always welcome in the comments section. There were several pro wrestlers that stood out in the start of 2018 with multiple top-notch performances like <strong>Will<\/strong> <strong>Ospreay<\/strong>, <strong>Andrade<\/strong> \u201c<strong>Cien<\/strong>\u201d <strong>Almas<\/strong> and <strong>Kazuchika<\/strong> <strong>Okada<\/strong>. The constant schedule of Travis Banks is what makes this his year so far. Banks was victorious in tag team action with Brookes against <strong>Zack<\/strong> <strong>Gibson<\/strong> and <strong>Josh<\/strong> <strong>Bodom<\/strong> at <em><strong>Rev<\/strong><strong>Pro<\/strong> <strong>High<\/strong> <strong>Stakes<\/strong><\/em>. <strong>Fight<\/strong> <strong>Club: PRO<\/strong>\u00a0also\u00a0featured Banks, where he performed some of the best offense today with the Lion\u2019s Clutch, Kiwi Crusher and Slice Of Heaven. Travis Banks received a <strong>WWE<\/strong> tryout last year, but he has proved to be much more valuable on the European wrestling scene, capable of having a great match with anyone in the world.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Austin Aries vs. Travis Banks - World Title Match (Defiant Wrestling #5)\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/WvNfttrIRKM?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Neither Will Ospreay (making his PROGRESS Wrestling return) nor <strong>Eddie<\/strong> <strong>Dennis<\/strong> could pin Banks in December in classic matches and it continued in January when Banks defeated fellow CCK partner Chris Brookes on January 14 then another partner in <strong>South<\/strong> <strong>Pacific<\/strong> <strong>Power<\/strong> <strong>Trip<\/strong>&#8216;s <strong>TK<\/strong> <strong>Cooper<\/strong> on January 28. The matches against best friends were more intense then anyone could imagine, but now we see what\u2019s next for one of the most high-octane and exciting wrestlers from the UK has to offer next.
