She says the teddy bear Wendy Choo sent out as a message to her last week was the same one as her son’s. This has gone way too far for Kylie, and she says this will end tonight.

Zayda Steel vs. Layla Diggs

The Vanity Project’s own Zayda Steel is accompanied by their bodyguard, Bryce Donovan, while Layla Diggs has Aria Bennett by her side. They lock up to start, and they do some arm reversals. Zayda tries to send Layla outside, but she lands on her feet and hits a powerslam and moonsault for two. Zayda comes back with a rope-hang codebreaker for two.

High knee to the corner, and Zayda continues to stay in control. Layla eventually fights back with a series of heel kicks, and a butterfly suplex gets two. She misses a backflip, allowing Zayda to hit a Zee-DT, her version of a tilt-a-whirl DDT, to get the win (4:51).

Tyson Dupont & Tyriek Igwe vs. Aaron Rourke & Freedom Ramsey

Aaron Rourke and Freedom Ramsey are WWE ID prospects. Tyson Dupont and Tyriek Igwe, new faces on the program, are dubbed as “TNT”. Aaron and Ramsey find the momentum early with fine teamwork, but soon, that proves to be a false hope.

Igwe withstands Rourke’s attack and hits him with a nasty shoulderbreaker. TNT works down Aaron with hard-hitting maneuvers, but he finds an opening for the hot tag to Ramsey. Ramsey runs wild on both members of TNT, but he gets caught by a vicious right hand as he comes off the rope.

A belly-to-back suplex and a heart stopper get the job done for Dupont and Igwe’s debut. (4:28)

Next Wednesday, Evolve Prime Minister Stevie Turner will make a major “town hall” announcement. What could it be? An official championship tournament, perhaps?

Wendy Choo vs. Kylie Rae

Here it is, your co-main event. This is a highly anticipated rematch from weeks ago. Choo goes for a headlock right away and maintains control with some joint manipulation, including her sick head twist.

Rae tries to bounce back with some offense, and she finds success with a side kick. However, the stolen teddy bear distracts her, allowing Choo to attack from behind, as we take an ad break.

We return with Rae hitting a Russian leg sweep, and both girls go down. Rae finally builds momentum with a proper comeback. She puts the crossface in, but Choo turns it into a pin for two.

Superkick puts Choo down on the floor, so Rae brings her inside. She goes up top, only for Choo to catch her and throw her off the top, and a brainbuster gets a nearfall. Choo decides to go after the bear and rip it apart!

This enrages Rae, who knocks down Choo with a flurry of strikes. Rae takes her time to console her damaged teddy, but this allows Wendy to get up and lock in the Dirt Nap, putting her to sleep for another win. Wendy, 2, Kylie, null (8:02).

After the bell, Wendy continues her creepy post-match antics, writing a frown on Kylie’s face with a marker.

Evolve’s own reporter Chuey Martinez interviews Kali Armstrong backstage. He congratulates Kali for her four-way victory two weeks ago, which made her an immediate championship contender.

Kali says she will be the first and best champion in Evolve history. Then, she tells everyone that is watching to dream big, building on the fire that moves you forward.

Keanu Carver & Harlem Lewis vs. Swipe Right (Ricky Smokes & Brad Taylor)

This is possibly the most excited I am in an Evolve main event, which speaks to how much the program has grown on me since day one. Keanu Carver and Harlem Lewis will definitely face each other somewhere down the line, while Swipe Right, as always, arrive at the match with their whole gang.

Smokes and Taylor are easily overpowered by the two behemoths, even though Carver and Lewis keep tagging each other in. They do a human throwing competition on Swipe Right to show who is stronger. Lewis misses a blind charge, but it only gets one for Smokes.

Swipe Right tries to ground Lewis, only for him to destroy them with a double suplex. Tag to Carver, who demolishes Taylor with a backbreaker and a fallaway slam. Smokes eat a mean punch for good measure.

Carver sends Swipe Right flying with the Pounce, and Lewis tags himself back in. Powerslam and Jackhammer from each guy, respectively, mercifully put things to an end (5:51).

Keanu Carver and Harlem Lewis get in each other’s faces, and they nearly fight, if not for the referees’ intervention. Then, we head backstage, where Stevie Turner is very proud of the results. Gallus (Joe Coffey, Mark Coffey & Wolfgang) appear and tell Stevie they would like a fight.

They want Keanu and Harlem next!

Final Thoughts

This show is running on full steam right now, especially with all the major storylines slowly unfolding. Apparently, there are more announcements being made soon, as Stevie Turner is set to make a major one next week. Highly enjoyable episode here, with the co-main events delivering, while still leaving you wanting to see more.

More From LWOS Pro Wrestling

Header photo – WWE – Stay tuned to the Last Word on Pro Wrestling for more on WWE Evolve and other stories from around the world of wrestling, as they develop.
