An incredible and near-perfect Spring BreakThru edition of AEW Dynamite last week stole WrestleMania week for some fans. This week, AEW looks to steal headlines again.<\/p>\n
Early on, two big matches were announced. We can be confident that as more of the card is revealed, we\u2019ll get more bangers and developments on the road to Double or Nothing.<\/p>\n
There is plenty of fallout and story progression to look forward to. Particularly, how will Death Riders regroup after last week? Unity between various company good guys resulted in Jon Moxley being choked out.<\/p>\n
The prospect of Moxley vs. Samoa Joe is tasty. Yet, multiple threads will be woven together with Anarchy in the Arena and Blood and Guts looming.<\/p>\n
What will MJF try next? Hopefully, something less misogynistic, as last week\u2019s segment left female and feminist fans like me frustrated, but as I\u2019ve discussed, it\u2019s easily fixed<\/a>. Like some aspects of AEW, we\u2019re so near perfection.<\/p>\n I\u2019m so excited.<\/p>\n Returning to AEW for their first match since Fight Night Dynamite, the EVPs, Matthew and Nicholas Jackson, put on their working boots. The Young Bucks face a new tag team and might expect an easy victory. Kevin Knight and Speedball Mike Bailey aren\u2019t tomato cans, but standout players who seek to disrupt the status quo.<\/p>\n Knight and Bailey were involved in the post-main event celebrations last week. Are The Young Bucks intending to use this match to show something new in their offense and demeanor? To demonstrate to Jon Moxley and the Death Riders why a partnership is best for business?<\/p>\n As a return match for The Young Bucks, this might be exactly what the brothers need to start 2025 hot. To help reheat the Corporate Elite storyline and wash away the baldness and mechanical 2024 run. The wider story beats and events pre- and post-match could see classic Young Bucks storytelling. Consider the wider story with Death Riders, Hangman Adam Page, and Kenny Omega.<\/p>\n It will be hard to top Athena vs. Mercedes Mone from the previous week, but Jamie Hayter and Kris Statlander could pull off the surprise. In another battle of powerhouses and both women\u2019s experiences, expect more dynamism than Statlander vs. Megan Bayne last month.<\/p>\n Kris Statlander remains the workhorse of the women\u2019s division. Constantly elevating every woman she faces, this is likely to be Hayter\u2019s best match since her return from visa issues.<\/p>\n That is saying something, given Hayter\u2019s two matches against Billie Starkz blew away the leftover rust that plagued Hayter after her All In return. Hayter seems to have confidence back and is pushing herself with more innovative offense and hard-hitting moves. What has she got for Statlander?<\/p>\n The outcome could go either way. \u201cTimeless\u201d Toni Storm\u2019s constant compliments and standing ovations for Statlander could be foreshadowing. Or it could be a ploy to put heat on Hayter.<\/p>\n Hayter has a history with Storm. There\u2019s a nature story to revisit between the two former housemates.<\/p>\n Although each woman might have respect for each other, it\u2019s going to be a slugfest. Hard-hitting with strikes that might chip teeth and moves that could lead to blood and bruises.
