Cena sat down on the Pat McAfee Show for his first interview since WrestleMania.<\/a><\/p>\n From the first moment, he made it very clear; that he would not be spoiling anything that would happen on WWE TV. \u201cI\u2019m not going to answer that.\u201d \u00a0Was Cena\u2019s first response when asked what was next for John Cena in the WWE after winning the championship on Sunday.<\/p>\n Throughout the interview, there was a visible shift between the man between the ropes and the man outside the ring.<\/p>\n When Cena spoke as the man who became the face of WWE he seemed very relaxed and personable. When diving into his relationship with the fans there was slightly more tension in the air. \u201cI love leaning into difficult things.\u201d Said Cena when asked about how he felt going into this character shift at the end of his career. When asked how the fans cheering made him feel, Cena responded: \u201cI have given everything I have. I\u2019m at the sunset and none of these people know me.\u201d<\/p>\n Cena playfully joked with the audience that he had gotten a hair transplant. Cena turned to the crowd and thanked them for bullying him into getting surgery.<\/p>\n John Cena’s main point can be best summed up in his own words. He said, \u201cI can\u2019t feel how I want to feel?\u201d Cena just wants to be able to have feelings and not be judged one way or the other.<\/p>\n So, what does Cena mean when he says he will \u201cruin wrestling\u201d?<\/p>\n When asked why he is going to \u201cruin wrestling\u201d in the first place, Cena stated, \u201cI am so exhausted and I have given everything to this.\u201d<\/p>\n Cena revealed we would see his plan come to fruition on WWE Raw. The 17-time champion<\/a> also said, \u201cNone of you are going to see anymore wrestling because I\u2019m going to ruin the son of a b***.\u201d<\/p>\n After some time had passed in the interview, Cena did finally give the fans a hint of what he meant. \u201cI\u2019m going to make wrestling start over.\u201d Cena made it clear that the show would go on once he was gone and that the WWE would replace him. However, from this moment on, this part of wrestling history is over and the WWE will have to start it all over again from scratch. He is taking this part of history home with him.<\/p>\n The WWE will have to make a new championship, new records, new history.<\/p>\n After letting us know about his plan to make wrestling start over, Cena took time to heap praise upon the future of the business. <\/span><\/p>\n When asked about what he thought about other events from WrestleMania 41, Cena mentioned new WWE Intercontinental Champion Dominik Mysterio<\/a>. <\/span><\/p>\n \u201cDom Mysterio is born for this,\u201d Cena stated. \u201cHe (Dominik) will be the most famous Mysterio.\u201d High praise <\/span>coming<\/span> from the face that runs the place. Mysterio wasn\u2019t the only young star to receive a mention from Cena.<\/span><\/p>\n Logan Paul and Joe Hendry got massive shoutouts from Cena. After his shock appearance at the Royal Rumble<\/a>, Joe Hendry approached Cena and got some useful information on making the most of his time and just being himself.<\/span><\/p>\n Cena made it extremely clear that he believed now is the best possible time to be a part of the WWE and that the future is bright.<\/span><\/p>\n Of course, Cena couldn\u2019t have sat down for this interview without the question about his retirement coming into play. <\/span>Cena\u2019s outlook on his last run can be summed up by this quote:<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI am a man of my word. I said when I am a step slower, I\u2019m done. When you watch my stuff from 2015 and watch my stuff now, I\u2019m a step slower. <\/span><\/p>\n So I\u2019m gone.\u201d McAfee followed this statement up by asking Cena how he could be so certain when there could always be one more \u201cdream match\u201d down the road. <\/span><\/p>\n Cena replied by saying \u201cThere is no amount of money and there is no check\u2026 you can\u2019t write me a check to come back. In December, I\u2019m done because of the promise I made these people.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Cena later told the panel that once December was over, we could sit down and reflect on his career and impact.
