November 19, 2024 was arguably the worst night of his WWE career. By losing to Ridge Holland, he lost possession of Chase University.

The next week, a vignette aired showing him packing up his things when someone called out to him. On the December 31, 2024 episode of NXT, he reappeared in a white shirt, looking sad. That was the day that Kale Dixon tried to reach out to him.

Over the next couple of weeks, Uriah Connors joined Dixon in pressuring him to restart Chase University. Since then, they have formed a partnership with Chase, acting as their mentor. Even though he had failed his students, he took it upon himself to continue in that teaching role.

The question now is, will he help Dixon and Connors, or will the same thing happen to them?

Andre Chase Wants to Help People Succeed

The rise and fall of Andre Chase over the past couple of years is something everyone should learn from. At Chase University’s highest, they were NXT Tag Team Champions with their student section cheering them on to victory in the stands. But when things seemed to be going bad, their luck got even worse.

From gambling scandals, to betrayals, and finally the school getting shut down, they hit rock bottom. But Chase is someone who has always been deeply apologetic about what had happened to put his school in jeopardy.

If he truly believed that he couldn’t continue to help people, he wouldn’t have associated himself with Dixon and Connors. They wouldn’t have talked to him if they didn’t believe that he still had something to offer them.

Even though he doesn’t have Chase University anymore, Andre Chase still wants to prove that he is a good mentor.

The Fear of Failure Could Cause Him to Repeat His Mistakes

When Thea Hail returned on the April 15, 2025 episode of NXT, the segment began with the three men backstage. Chase questioned his abilities, wondering if he could potentially ruin Dixon and Connors’ lives as well. He clearly is still deeply regretful for what he did to Duke Hudson, Riley Osborne, and Thea Hail.

That’s because he truly cares about his students and their progress as wrestlers. However, if you help someone too much, then things will start spiraling out of control. He may have failed his students in his eyes, but there was no malicious intent behind anything that happened.

Everything was done for the well-being of his students, and unfortunately, those things led to disaster. His worry could lead him to not help his new trainees enough. If he doesn’t put his fears behind him, Andre Chase could fail to help more people become better wrestlers.

Will Dixon and Connors Learn Anything From Chase?

Thea Hail’s return and subsequent qualification for Stand & Deliver could be the boost Chase needs. For months, Dixon and Connors have tried to talk him into being the man he used to be. Hail not only told him that he wasn’t a failure, but she also proved that he was the person she needed to become a better wrestler.

With those three publicly affirming that he’s a good leader, that could restore his confidence as someone who can teach Dixon and Connors what they need to be successful. There might not be a full-on Chase University rebrand, as he lost the school to Ridge Holland. But he doesn’t need to be the dean of a school to be someone other wrestlers look up to.

Just being Andre Chase could be the key for Kale Dixon and Uriah Connors to unlock their full potential in the ring.

More From LWOS Pro Wrestling

Header photo – WWE – Stay tuned to the Last Word on Pro Wrestling for more on Andre Chase, WWE NXT, and other stories from around the world of wrestling, as they develop.
