Whether you’re a WWE superstar, TNA royalty<\/a>, or an AEW wrestler, it seems that almost nobody is safe in the transfer merry-go-round of professional wrestling.<\/a> Former NXT Champion Karrion Kross is the latest to take a spin through the rumor mill as news of his current WWE deal expiring begins to gain traction.<\/p>\n

Fightful Select<\/a>‘s Sean Ross Sapp reports that Kross’ current deal could run out as soon as this summer, with both parties yet to begin fresh negotiations. That being said, WWE have expressed their satisfaction with Kross, who continues to cut interesting backstage promos during Raw.<\/p>\n

He has also proven himself a master storyteller through his cryptic social media posts. It has not yet been confirmed if Kross’ valet and wife, Scarlett, is also nearing the end of her WWE contract.<\/p>\n

Kross’ current stint in WWE is his second overall, having been released by the company in late 2021.<\/a> Kross was a dominant force in NXT during the pandemic, earning himself a main roster call-up. Sadly, his NXT success didn’t continue following the transfer.<\/p>\n

However, his release was short-lived, and he returned to WWE in mid-2022, with the company now under Triple H’s management. While Triple H’s speedy reinstatement of Karrion Kross to WWE no doubt suggests his faith in the two-time NXT Champion, his recent lack of in-ring action will have industry insiders questioning whether this is once again the end for Kross. Karrion last wrestled for WWE on December 9th, defeating the Wyatt Sicks in an 8-person tag match on Raw.<\/p>\n

Karrion Kross Is Missing From The Ring<\/h2>\n

Outside of the various promos Kross has cut recently, he has been busy outside of WWE. Kross appeared at the Chris Bey benefit show earlier this month, defeating Hammerstone. He has also been confirmed for GCW Bloodsport on April 17th\u2014just two nights before WrestleMania 41.<\/p>\n

This could suggest that there are no plans in place for Kross at WWE’s biggest show of the year. In February, Kross revealed that he had produced a new short film titled Blue Evening. The film, which Kross also stars in, will premiere at the Pasadena Film Festival next month.<\/p>\n

His memoir Life is Fighting is also set to be released later this summer.<\/p>\n
