Split into two one-hour segments over the weekend, each episode will perhaps look to borrow from Rampage’s mantra as the fastest hour in wrestling.

Each show benefits, like Grand Slam Australia, from another big sports-related lead-in. Slam Dunk Sunday offers four interesting contests. Across both nights, we are getting range. Sunday features a follow-up from Dynamite with a title contest, a tag team grudge match, one of AEW’s most over women’s stars in action, and a spot-fest.

Johnny TV vs. Bandido could be a surprise contest. With hints of lucha action, potential comedy from the contrasting personalities, and some follow-up to Chris Jericho’s brutal beating of Bandido’s brother, Gravity, this card could be all killer.

Also, expect fans to be loud for Harley Cameron. Unconnected, the mysterious Harleygram might make her presence felt at ringside during the tag contest. Fans are already shipping and writing fanfiction for Harleygram and The Beast Mortos!

Nope, it’s not Saturday, but Sunday night is alright for fightin’.

Matches Announced for AEW Collision: Slam Dunk Sunday:

Johnny TV vs. Bandido

Harley Cameron in action

Hologram and Kommander vs. The Beast Mortos and Dralistico

AEW World Trios Championship: The Death Riders vs. Top Flight and AR Fox

Lucha Tag Action

Since his return, Hologram’s feud with The Beast Mortos has enveloped Los Ingobernables. It’s resulted in some fun singles and tags outings between Hologram, Mortos, and Dralistico.

The addition of ROH TV Champion, Kommander, brings a more consistent Mexican flavor to this match. Previously, Hologram’s tag partners and opponents have been more varied. In an entirely lucha-centric tag encounter, Hologram might be able to take things to another gear.

Although Hologram deserved his flowers in 2024, that doesn’t diminish the gains made by his partner and opponents. You can’t deny the increasing overness and uniqueness of The Beast Mortos. Each outing the man-beast thrives. Likewise, Kommander’s ROH championship run and last-minute place in the Continental Classic have seen the 26-year-old evolve as a performer.

Mix them, and we have the potential for what the kids these days call a banger. Can Hologram maintain his winning streak? If LFI loses, Rush will not be happy. Will Rush remain on suspension for much longer? It’s only a matter of time before the bull returns. Who gets the horns?

AEW Trios Championship Defense

#AEWCollision SLAM DUNK SUNDAY
Immediately following the NCAA Tournament
Coast to Coast on @TNTDrama + @SportsOnMax

AEW World Trios Championships

The Death Riders (@WheelerYuta, @BASTARDPAC, @ClaudioCSRO) want revenge for the $300K 3-Kings Christmas Casino Trios Royale against… pic.twitter.com/Rpu7aSE04u

— All Elite Wrestling (@AEW) March 21, 2025

Following a storm-hit and inspirationally hol(e)y Dynamite, it’s going to be interesting to see if the Death Riders can stomp out the aerial antics of Top Flight and AR Fox as easily as their previous encounter. Or could the challengers show a gradual weakening of the trios’ champs?

Over the past few weeks, Death Riders Collision defenses have restored some life in the division. This encounter, against a tag team that is currently in losing form and a partner who lost to Will Ospreay Wednesday, demonstrates Death Rider’s original mission statement. To make those wrestlers who have grown stagnant make a change. Could this be a story beat perhaps?

Or will this be a public execution? A message to the locker room following Cope’s attempt to cave in the heads of The Death Riders.
